Well this is the first I'm hearing of any lack of beer mentioning in the national anthem! What else haven't you told me?!

More art coming soon, I believe.

Australia is the inevitable destination for anything left unchecked. Because it's down at the bottom, you see. They think they can defy physics, but gravity always wins in the end. ALWAYS!

Oh, and.. eagerly anticipating more of that art stuff. :)

Looks like Fry's groin is right at elbowing-height.

Well, it's a glass half-empty/ glass half-full thing, isn't it? I would say that Leela's bust is right at groining height.

I would then be evicted from the thread.

The drawing itself was already a beautiful concept, but you've added that extra bit of life to it.

I like your colouring styles :)

I suck at colouring so I usually use flat colours so it's easier to blend them in together but yours is something else.

Suggestion though, I think you should add a darker tone on shadow for Fry's jacket. It'll stand out better with the contrast of the colours; like what you did for Leela.

Very intriguing style used on that picture, Demeter. Who did the original sketch?

All aside, the coloring and shading is fantastic!

Yeah, that's beautiful. Really nice colours.
Not many can really pull off such understated line work.

I only really wanted the whites and creams to stand out, rather than the red... The red would overpower the entire image, I feel. But thanks for the suggestion; if I can find the original file, I'll give it a go. : )

And thanks for all the lovely comments! I tend to be hesitant posting stuff I've only coloured... as it feels a little bit - not like my work, I suppose! : )

Honestly, I should have stopped back in here sooner! Have you gotten miles better? I think you have. Indeed wonderful job on the piece. Surely whoever drew this is a master but you have made it come to life with these colors. Serious kudos to the line artist. Fry is simply adorably delicious!

Nice stuff.  I really like your color choices and the style.  Feels oily and like I want to rub my skin in a pool full of oil paint and drink some of it.

Also, I like your daria sketches. :)

These are all so beautiful! I especially love the one of Leela and Fry in the Autumn setting. Drawing Leela realistically can be kind of difficult to do without making her look... ahem... monster-y, but you make her look gorgeous.

Wow!  These are fantastic!

By the way, I was wondering... could you give me some tips on using photoshop to color drawings?  All the books/magazines I've seen on photoshop are useless for helping you with that.  They're all about taking out red eye or making some model's already white teeth look even whiter.

Thanks for the kind words!

@Winna: Daria is a total amazing, fun, intelligent series. It definitely got me through the hiatus of Futurama.

@CoffeeBot: She can turn out monsterly if not drawn correctly. All I recall is she has a larger nose to compensate for her eye!  >__<

@SpaceGoldFishFromWazn: I actually don't color in photoshop! Most of the time I use openCanvas 1.1 which is a freeware program. http://wistinga.online.fr/opencanvas/ My best advice with coloring is 1) start with flat colors 2) select a much darker, richer color to shade with (not black!) and fill in the color. 3) select a middle tone between the two, blend. And blend some more. And some more!

It's pretty easy once you get going. Just remember not to shade with solid black, as it makes the picture quite flat.

That's a great animation, Demeter :)

Perhaps you can hold a few frames just before she pushes her hair away, it will help to make your timing look better. Great attempt btw.

Out of curiosity, what program did you use to mesh all the animation frames together?

Of course not! Why would I be sarcastic........ I mean it's not like I love sarcasm or anything. Stalker-person.

As for that animation, I used Photoshop, with the simple "Animation" tool panel. I redrew each individual frame on separate layers and tweaked moments ever so slightly for each!

In other news, prelim sketch of me and my boyfriend which I've been intending to do for some time!
