I'm like that cold
Bull. You're not like me at all. And you know nothing of my work. Those are great. I love your style.

Hey, guess who's back AGAIN?
I'm like that cold that just won't go away.
In this link is a sketchdump, featuring some random Leela sketches. Need to get my butt into gear and draw some proper illustrations sooner or later... I keep saying I will, but by thunder I will this time!!

You come and go. Do you think we'll just clap our hands in sudden joy when you make a long awaited appearence? Well, we do. Good to see you, even if it may be a short visit.

I'll put on clean shirt too And then TAKE IT OFF!!
Ah, Coldman, she's 15 or 16 years old. She also has very protective parents. Just a friendly warning. And btw, Sarah has done commission work for me before. She's better than she gives herself credit for, except one little thing: Her self-portrait of her head in a jar isn't correct - she's actually a lot more attractive than the pic she posted in this thread.

All great, but especially your self-portrait, 'cause if you look like that then I'm putting on a clean shirt and cleaning the cheese out of my beard. Now Sarah's a classy chick, so a shower (with soap and clean water!), along with recently washed clothes and scraping the cheese out of your beard are the minimun requirements. Alos, keep the profanity down to a minumum level - try not to say f*** or c*** more often than 2-3 times per sentence. haha I'm 18 but thanks for the lovely concern Ralph. <3 Damn, where does the time go? I remember back when you were a moderator for FMMB and just getting started with the art thing. Now you're old enough to start college (I think you Aussies call it University). That really moves me from "old" to positively "ancient" territory. ... and the second part, I don't know if I can acknowledge that in any particular way. *blushes* X_X; Take it as a compliment from a person who you did a piece of artwork for that was appreciated very much by the person who it was made for. She still has it.

Does that mean I can go for an 8 hour drive and be slightly less creppy Considering the shape of the Australian game industry, chances of getting into that are very low. I've been applying as a art junior for a good part of the year. If you can try and get into animationmentor.com, its just its uber expensive and its all online live from the US.

Hey, welcome back - I like the colours and linework on the leela pic, it's a nice style. I've decided to become an animator if I can, and failing that, a games designer... Or voice actor! Whatever I can get into, really.
... And I swear like a sailor. Does that mean I have to stop swearing too?
Ha, I did my degree in the first and ended up as the second, in an indie capacity. It's a really fun job, you get complete creative control and just get to draw all day, mostly. University should be easy enough to get into.. don't shy away from adding futurama work to your portfolio when applying.. it worked fine for me anyway. I can't say how worthwhile you'd find the education (you're already at a higher of ability than most first-year students, and animation/ film language can be learnt just as well with a good book or 5), but it's definitely a fun way to spend 3 years having fun and making lots of art. Showreels are the main thing that get people jobs, and they need to be top-notch. The voice acting idea could work too, but it's more difficult than it looks.. needs a good range of realistic-not-over-exaggerated emotional expression and the ability to completely suppress any accent when needed (American accents are particularly bad for "leaking" into things.. often the person hiring and the actor are both american so they don't notice the problem at all). I have connections into the world of Dreamworks ;P Lucky sunnuva... :P

Nice, Demeter.. I really (really, really) like your head-in-a-jar. I've never understood how you people can get those so damn clean looking.. Anyway, it looks bloody brilliant.

I'm gonna try and get a sketch or a picture up every day... at least for December. I tried that once. And failed.. in a really spectacular sort of way. But I have faith that you're a better person than I. I like the slightly different cartoony twist to your work.. and don't you just love how a simple green circle can pass as the P.E ship? She looks like she's about to have a painful Eye and Hammer experience, though... heh..
