I'm thingking it's a little out of character for Bender to be concerned about the legalities of paying for a spaceship rental.      Where's that?  Sure you're not getting him mixed up with Fry?

paragraphs 21-22
21:  “Well, can we hire one?” he asked.
22:  “Yeah, if you pay!” Bender and Hermes both shot back in unison.

He just objects to breaking into the petty cash fund

Yes but he also comes up with two guffaws to Amy's Beta Romeo  (I like the pun & subtle change to the marque of Benjamin Braddock's Spider and Juan Manuel Fangio's F-1s).  And he does not at any time acknowledge the importance of finding a way to save Leela even though he cannot by conscience break into petty cash.  It just didn't seem he was part of it until suddenly he was.  Probably just being picky.

It has come to my attention from multiple futurama fans that my non-talent is wasted here.   I have seen a few contributers spoil the fun of many with inane unwelcome commentary.  I do not wish to become one of these.  If in the future I visit this site, it will be to peruse the wonderful art and fun stories that flow from the genius of this place.

In case you're still lurking or whatever, Bender just didn't want to pay to hire a ship.

*reads first fic*
*reads second-in-progress*

Nicely done, WP; all right yeah, the first does have a little of the sense that the discussions between Leela and Munda are ciphers, but what the hell - they might not have been that detailed, but I'm pretty sure they happened at some point. They just didn't happen 'on camera'. :) And the story is does a good job filling in some of the blanks. Good stuff!

As for the new story...looking good so far. The Leela and Fry stuff by the pool was great. However nice/tolerant Leela is of Fry, I'm also pretty sure that there've been incidents like the one you describe happen on the show - again, we just didn't see them.

Roll on the next exciting episode! :D

I haven't written anything for a few days since I'm finding this a bit of a battle, but will see what I can do.

And now for something completely different. Some of the artwork in this site is pretty damn amazing, and while I know it's never going to be in the same league, here's my first attempt, which I doubt I could have done if not for an invaluable how-to thread at Futurama Madhouse:

I know the mouth and nose look off, but I'm pleased with the way the eye and hair looks.

Hmph, the lines are all jagged and broken in IE, when they looked fine in Firefox last night.  :(

Pretty good WP, the hair is spot on, the eye is almost, it's only the eye lashes really, but that's probably as you say they broke in IE

Checked and it looks fine in IE on my laptop too. Just looks messy on another PC, I guess. Bloody computers

Aye, as I said it's from TLP. I'm not claiming any originality.
