I find it impossible to draw Leela! I started drawing Futurama characters last week, and the best one yet is Fry. At the moment I'm trying to draw Bender - isn't going too well. Getting slightly better at drawing Leela!

well i've done half of the one i said i was going to do a while ago, i'm gonna use it in a wallpaper, i've just had loads to do recently (getting my portfolio done for college interview)

Ok I got a cool idea for a fanfic. But instead I'm gonna make a comic of it!
Its gonna be a parody of StarWars, Wait Wait!! before you say 'been there done that', let me explain.
I've read acouple Starwars parodies in my time. And usually it's just a copy of a StarWars Movie with different character names. Not mine!
I am essentially writing my own story for it, and it is still going to hold true to the show, but I'm gonna have similarities. Like Fry Leela Bender and Amy get involved in a Rebellion by the Rebels hyjacking they're ship and taking them and they're cargo, as supplies for the rebellion. Fry sees something familiar about the whole thing but can't quite place it so stays to help fight, Leela and Bender steal back the ship and cargo to finish the delivery, and Amy stays behind becuase she hasn't got anything better to do. lol
I don't want to spoil anymore of it...

I am still writing the outline, but I have enought for a few pages, I'll work on them tonight when I get home from work

Sounds very interesting. 
I do lots of Star Wars parodies -well, basically Star Wars influenced pics - you see lots of Lightsabers, Blaster rifles and certain women in Stormtrooper armour (my twisted imagination)- but never thought of doing a comic.
I'm writing a non-Futurama related Star Wars novel but that's different. 

But like I said, that sounds very interesting and I look forward to seeing it.

Actualy it was your new pic of Fry holding Leela, in Rebellion and StormTrooper gear that inspired me to do it

I got it. I really like it, even as a rough outline.  I could give a go at colouring it, I'm going on study leave after Thursday and I can't revise all week so I'll have some time free to do stuff. The process would be quite slow though.

The aspects of storyline, the names (Needa, Glavin, Thaw instead of Hoth I pressume  ), all good. Apart from those how much influence will you put into the ways the people look and what they fly (appart from the Cube Death Star and pyramid ships [cough]Star Destroyers[/cough]) ?

Well the characters are gonna look unique but have bits and peices on them that make tie them into a StarWars theme... Like I was thinking Soler is gonna have Leia's(sp?    )bun Hair style.
The Commander obviously will have bits and peices like Darth(cape and Helmet) ect ect... What did you think of Bender and his 'lines'? lol

Don't want to give too much away to everyone else just yet so,

Only sugestion is that maybe the PE ship be not destroyed, only incapacitated (ie Rebels strip it for parts so the gang can't just fly off in it again and then they have it all perfectly restored at the end) either that or before they leave in the first place Farnsworth gives them a new ship he's been working on and so at the DOOP base he arrives with the usual ship and has a big go at them despite all the heroics they've done. Just a suggestion.

As for the ship I like the Stripping for parts idea better.
