All of the employees were gathered around the conference table in the balcony area of the hangar of the Planet Express building.
“Professor why did you have call us hear so early?” complained the professor’s great x30 uncle, Phillip J. Fry.
“Yea why” said the rest of the group nearly simutainasly.

“Oh I have good news everyone! I have been nominated for the Mad Scientist of Year award, given out by the New New York Times!” exclaimed Professor Hubert Farnsworth excitedly.

“That’s great professor, but what does that have to do with us?” said the Cyclops captain Truanga Leela.
“Oh it does have meaning to you – you’re all invited to join me at the award ceremony, at one of the hotels in Hammelburg, Germany.” Said the professor.

“Well I must go figure out what invention to display at the show.” Said the professor again.

“Why don’t you bring that new engine drive you’ve been working on, what’s it called?” said Fry

“You mean that thing called the Caterpillar drive?” said Bender.

“Oh that’s not finished yet it still has a few bugs that need to be worked out and to be installed in the ship.” Said the professor in a harsh tone.

“Well there are no delivery’s sechuelded for today right Hermes?” said Leela.

“Nope, no delivery do, you can work on installing that whatever you call it, and I’ll just go do some filing.” Said Hermes.

As the group was dismissed, the ship’s crew Fry, Leela, and Bender proceeded with the professor to get the caterpillar drives and install it in the ship. Meanwhile there was another event being planned for in Hammelburg, this one though was being planned at a different point time.

Luft Stalag 13 was a German Prisoner of War camp, situated outside of Hammelburg, Germany. Stalag 13 had the best record of successful escapes – 0, it was run by  the incompentat Col. Wilhelm Klink. The reason for this record was mostly due to the prisoners themselves, under the command of one Col. Robert E. Hogan. Col. Hogan and his men known to many as Hogan’s Heros, for they conducted espionage missions right under the noses of the Germans. There was a network of tunnels underneath the camp, and they led from just about every building in the camp. The main entrance was in Barracks 1, under one of the bunks.

“Anything from London Kinch?” asked Col. Robert E. Hogan to his radio operator, Staff Sergant James Kinchloe. “Nothing yet sir I’ll keep ear out to see if we get anything.” Said Kinch.

“Ok well better wrap it soon, Schultz will be coming around soon to do bed checks.” Replied Col. Hogan.

“Yes sir just a few more minutes, something just came in.”
“Well we will have to decode it later, come on up Schultz is almost here.”

Just as Kinch was coming up, and the bunk going down Schultz walked in, and exclaimed “Wha-Wha was he doing colonel?”
“oh nothing Schultz, just talking an a radio” said Hogan sarcastically. “I see nothing! I know nothing!” and Schultz walked out the door back to his post.

“Well what does the message say Kinch?” asked Hogan.

“London wants us to take out a gun battery so that they can give Adolf a birthday present – which is in five days on the 20th. “ said Kinch.

“That seems like our kind of work.” Said Carter.

“Where exactly is this battery located Kinch?” asked Hogan. “Just outside of the town of Hammelburg. London wants this put on priorty.” Said Kinch.

“Well that shouldn’t be to hard – Hammelburg is just a couple clicks from here and getting the necessary equipment wont be that difficult.” Said Hogan. “Newkirk, Carter, LeBeau, you go out the emergency tunnel tonight and scout the aera by guns.” Ordered Hogan.

“Yes sir.” All three said in unison.

Mean while back at Planet Express….

Planet Express Building
New New York
April 16, 3008 5:06 PM

As the crew was lounging in front of the TV, the professor came in “Good news everyone, I have finished installing the Caterpillar drive on the ship. We can now go much faster than before – we can now achieve Ludicrous speed The professor said as he lifted up his welding mask.

“What’s  Ludicrous speed, and wasn’t that used in some movie?” asked Leela.

Fry replied “ The movie your referring to was the Mel Brooks classic – Spaceballs”

“Ludicrous speed is the fastest speed known to man – much faster than Light speed.” Said the professor. “and it’s now time to take the ship out and run a few test.”

So the crew prepared the ship for testing the caterpillar  drive and a few hours later we
find our crew preparing to make the jump  to Ludicrous speed.

“Prepare ship for Ludicrous speed – fasten all seatbelts, secure all no secured items, and watch your lunch people!” said Leela, “and Bender why don’t you put your seat belt on?”

“I  don’t need it I’m a robot, tremendous Forces don’t affect me, and bite my shiny metal ass!” said Bender.

Once the test was complete, the crew returned to Earth, and began preparing the ship for the award show, which was in four days. The test having been successful proved that ludicrous speed was indeed possible. The rest of crew went back to their respective homes  and began to pack for the trip, since they were leaving the next morning.

“Well is everybody ready? We have got to get going were going to do one more test on the caterpillar drive before we head out for Hammelburg.” Said Leela to everyone that was gathered in front of the spaceship.

“Yea where’re all ready Leela.” Said Fry

“Ok everyone on board the ship.” Ordered Leela

Once everyone was on board , the ship lifted out of the Planet Express Building and headed toward outer space to test the new drive again.

“Ok everyone ready for Ludicrous speed?”

“yup” was the reply from everyone.

A little while later we find the PE ship back in orbit around Earth and there is chaos brewing…

Part 2

Luft Stalag 13
Near Hammelburg Germany
April 17, 1943 7:15 AM

As the PE crew was having some minor technical difficulties, we return to Stalag 13 to find our band prisoners out in front their barracks in time for morning roll call.

“Report!” shouted the camp commandant – Colonel Wilhelm Klink as marched out of his office in his winter coat.

“All present and accounted for” replied the Sergeant of the Guard – Sgt. Hans Schultz

“I have an announcement to make” said Klink amidst the groans of the prisoners. “In three days it the Fuhrers birthday – and I want everything to be perfect around here – Gen. Burkhalter along with the Chief of Staff of the Luftwaffe is coming to give place a thorough inspection.” The prisoners continued  with their jeers.

“Your all  dismissed – except you Col. Hogan – I want to see you in my office.” Said Klink.

While in Klink’s office we Hogan is up to his usual antics, that is swiping cigars and using Klink’s WWI helmet to light his match. “Colonel Hogan I want your word that your men won’t try to anything while the Chief of Staff and General Burkhalter are her.” Said Klink in his sarcastic tone.

“Your Wish is my command commandant, although I can’t promise anything, I’ll do my best to keep my men in line, we wouldn’t our favorite commandant being sent to the Russian Front.” Said Hogan in an equally sarcastic way.

“Hogan I’m in no mood to play games with you- dismissed” said Klink.

Back Barracks 1, we find Hogan and his men discussing the anti-aircraft guns that have been moved to Hammelburg.

“Well colonel it looks like that the guns are 88s, the heavy stuff. That could so some serious damage to our bombers.” Said Newkirk, who went on the scouting mission a couple of nights ago, along with LeBeau and Carter.

“Yea not only that there’s a total ten guns in that battery.” Said Carter.

“And its heavily guarded to by regular infantry.” Added LeBeau.

“Well London wants those guns taken out as soon as possible so that can launch the raid in time to coincide with Hitler’s birthday” replied Kinch matter-of-factly.

“Kinch get on the radio to London and ask them how they want us to this.” Said Hogan, “yes sir” replied Kinch.

Kinch went down into the tunnel and started up the radio set, and cranked up the antennae which was in the flag above Klink’s office.

“Goldilocks to papa bear, goldilocks to papa bear, come in papa bear.” Repeated Kinch into the radio using the respective codenames for Hogan, and Allied Headquarters in London.

“This is papa bear, go ahead goldilocks.” Replied the commander in London, Captain Henderson.

“We got your request about the AA battery, how do you want us to proceed?” asked Kinch.

“Oh I’m sure you boys can come up with something, you always do. “ said Captain Henderson.

“Thanks for the help, Goldilocks out. “ replied Kinch sarcastically.

“Well so much for that colonel, what are we going to do now?” Kinch said to Hogan who standing on the other side of desk that the radio was on.

“Carter do you have anything that we could use that would knock out those guns?” asked Hogan

“Well colonel I do have some of that dynamite left over from when we blew up the bridge last month. We could use that.” Carter replied.

“Ok could you rig some sort of triggering mechanism so that the dynamite would go off when they start firing?”

“Yea sure I could do something like that.” Replied Carter.

As Carter began working on the explosive device, we return to where we last left the delivery crew of Planet Express.

Planet Express ship
In Orbit Above Earth
April  18th, 1943 6:00 PM

“Ok what went wrong with the test professor?” inquired Leela.

“I don’t know we will have to head back and take  the ship apart.” Replied Professor Farnsworth.

“Wait something doesn’t seem right.” Said Fry
“What so you mean flesh bag?” replied Bender

“That shouldn’t there more ships and stuff around because looking out the window I don’t see anything.”  Fry said in a somewhat worried tone.

Leela answered his remark by  saying “Yea and I’m not picking up any GPS signals, and that means were going have to land without guidance.”

“So  everyone fasten your seat belts and prepare for a rough landing!” shouted Leela

After a fiery reentry, the Leela regained to control and when they looked out the window to see where they were at, all they could see was woods and what looked like some sort of camp off in the distance.

“I’m going to have land the ship in the woods, I’m trying for that clearing.” Leela said in a concerned tone.

As the ship landed, the crew could hear the crunch of the trees breaking, clearing an area for the ship to land.

“Ok were down, me, Bender and Fry are going outside to see what’s going on.” Leela said.

“Wait I don’t remember volunteering for that!” exclaimed Fry
“Yea I don’t either!” said Bender.

“Well your going weather you like it or not.” Leela ordered.

We soon find our delivery crew walking toward the road that led from the town Hammelburg to LuftStalag 13 – the most secure camp in Germany. Soon everybody stopped and looked down at the road when a Mercedes staff car went by, with two men in what looked like to Fry in German uniforms.

“That’s no hover car and what’s that insignia on those miniature flags?” Leela said again in a worried tone.

“They look like German soldiers to me, and must be some pretty important ones too, and that insignia is a Swastika.” Fry replied

“How do you know that Fry, I didn’t know you were a history buff?” said Leela

“Well lately Scurffy’s been lecturing me on the Second World War, which lasted from 1939-1945 and was fought between the Allies – Great Britain, United States, France, and Russia and the Axis – Germany, Japan, and Italy.” Fry said matter-of-factly, “and I would guess that were in World War Two Germany.”

“Well it’s starting to get dark out, we bender find some place to stay for the night.” Leela said

“Why don’t we follow that car that went by and see where it goes?” said Fry

“You know the meat bag here might actually have a decent idea.” Bender said.

“Ok Fry you lead the way.” Leela said

As Fry, Leela, and Bender were walking down the road, Newkirk spotted them from his post along the side of the road in the woods and so this ends Part 2 and is the beginning of Part 3.

 Part 3
On the road to Hammelburg
4 miles outside of LuftStalag 13
April 18, 1943 8:45PM

As Fry, Leela, and Bender were walking, Newkirk came down and startled the group, since they had no idea anyone was watching them. Luckily Fry stopped Leela in time before she could give Newkirk a roundhouse kick to the face.

“Why hello my name is Corporal Peter Newkirk, of Stalag 13, and who might you there be?” Newkirk asked.

“I’m Truanga Leela, Captain of the  Planet Express spaceship, we crashed landed few miles from here and need a place to stay for the night.” Leela replied

“I’m Phillip J. Fry, but you can call me Fry.” Fry said

“And I am the loveable robot Bender. My full name is Bender Bending Rodriguez” Bender said in his happy tone.

“Loveable? Yea right Bender, let’s see you drink, smoke, and steal things, and that makes you loveable?” Fry said sarcastically

“A robot? I’ve never even seen or heard about one. Where are you guys from, and for that matter what century?” inquired Newkirk.

“Well where’re all from the 31st century, specifically 3008. I’m actually from the 20th century, I was delivering a pizza on New Year’s Eve 1999 to cryogenics lab and was accidently frozen for thousand years.” Answered Fry.

“Well I’ve got to get back to camp, you’re welcome to join me, and we’ve got a pretty nice setup.” Newkirk said

“Wait how come your out of camp, aren’t you a prisoner?” asked Leela

“Well technically yes, but it’ll be easier to show you how we operate, just follow me.” Newkirk replied

And so on went Fry, Leela, and Bender following Newkirk toward Stalag 13.

LuftStalag 13
Near Hammelburg, Germany
April 18, 1943 9:15PM

As the group led by Newkirk approached Stalag 13, Newkirk approached a regular looking tree stump and crouched down, and whispered to Fry, Leela, and Bender “This is the emergency exit/entrance to our tunnel.”

“How does it work?” asked Fry
In response to his question, Newkirk opened the top of the stump which reviled a ladder leading down into the tunnel.

“All right in you go
 what I expected!” exclaimed Leela.

“Now it’s time you met the one and only Colonel Hogan, Just follow me.” Newkirk said as he led them down the maze of tunnels.” Said Newkirk as he motioned for Fry, Leela, and Bender to enter the tunnel. They did so and we now find the four of them inside the tunnel heading to Barracks 1. As they approach the entrance to the barracks,

“You three stay down here, I’m going up to get the colonel.” Newkrik said.

“Why can’t we come up?” asked Fry.

“We don’t want to risk you three being spotted by Schultz.” Newkirk replied.

Soon, Newkirk pulls the latter down and up goes the bunk and he climes out of the tunnel.

“Newkirk where have you been? And why did it take so long for you to get back?” said Hogan

“Colonel I picked some civilians that I think you should meet, they’re down in the tunnel right now” Newkirk said

“Well tell them to come up will ya Newkirk.” Hogan said.

Soon after we find Fry, Leela, and Bender talking to Hogan in his office.

“Ok I have a few questions to ask you, first who are you and where are you from?” asked Hogan.

“My name is Truanga Leela, captain of the Planet Express spaceship, we were testing a new system when it caused a rip in the space-time continuum, which is how we ended up here. Our ship is just a few miles from here in the woods.” Leela answered

“I’m Phillip J. Fry, but most people just call me Fry. Say, where are we exactly?” Fry replied

“And I’m Bender, a bending robot. My full name is Bender Bending Rodriguez, say you got any booze here?” Bender said

“We have some very nice wine, but why does a robot need booze?” inquired Hogan

“Why you ask? Well it’s what we run on meat bag.” Bender replied

Leela whispered into Hogan’s ear, “I’d watch your wallet, and any valuables you might have, Bender is a bit of pick pocket and general all-round thief.”

“I should warn you, Newkirk’s the same way.” Hogan said.

“Anyway welcome to beautiful Stalag 13, and as our commandant would say, the most secure place in all of Germany.” Hogan said, “Can I ask you a question Leela?” Hogan asked.

“It’s the eye right?” Leela sighed. “Well it just so happens that I’m a mutant, but the only thing wrong with me is the one eye, everything else is perfectly normal.” Leela said

“And so how can we of service to you three? We have been a little busy lately, with Klink’s superior Gen. Burkhalter arriving today.” Hogan said

“That must be who we saw in that staff car that passed us Leela.” Fry said

“Did you notice anyone else in the car with him?” asked Hogan.

“There was another person in there, it looked like he had a on black suit and hat.” Fry added.

“That was must be Maj. Hochstetter, and it would explain why Klink’s been on edge today.” Hogan concluded, there was a knock at the door, colonel, Schultz is here for a bed check, what do you want us to do colonel?” asked LeBeau through the door.

“LeBeau, distract Schultz with some apple strudel, while we get our friends back down into the tunnel.” Hogan replied.

“Yes sir.” Replied LeBeau.

So we next find Leela, Bender, and Fry heading back down into the tunnel while Schultz is outside the barracks eating his apple strudel with LeBeau.

“Ok LeBeau I have to do to the bed check.” Schultz said

“Ok now its ok to do so Schultz.” LeBeau said.

“Lights out.” Schultz said and shut off the lights.

LuftStalag 13
Near Hammelburg, Germany
April 19, 1943 7:30 AM

The next day we find the men lined up in front of their barracks for morning roll call.

“Report!” shouted Klink as he and Burkhalter came out of Klink’s  office.

“All present and accounted for Herr Commandant!” replied Schultz.

“All prisoners are confined to barracks until further notice!” Klink shouted. “Schultz, get the prisoners back in their barracks immedtly.” Klink said

Schultz herded the prisoners back into the barracks, then as they were all in the barracks, Hogan asked “Schultz what’s going on? Is there someone important coming?”

“I know nothing, nothing.” Schultz replied, “Although there is a rumor going that around that some new prisoners are arriving today.” Schultz said

“Who are the new prisoners Schultz?” Hogan continued

“I know nothing, nothing.” Schultz replied. And then he left the barracks.

“Colonel, there’s a truck coming in, it might be the new prisoners.” Kinch said while looking out the window, soon after Hogan turned his hat around and lifted up the faucets on the sink, since it was a sort of periscope.

“Well they’re being brought into Klink’s office, and it looks like there’s four of them, an senile old man, a dame, a fat man, and some sort of walking lobster.” Hogan said as he looked through the periscope.

Then there was a knock on the tunnel entrance, and the bunk rose and up came Fry, Leela, and Bender.

“’What’s going on up here, Bender picked up some conversation about the new prisoners, and where’re pretty sure it’s the rest of the crew from the ship. And the old man is the professor, the dame is Amy Wong, the fat is Hermes, and the lobster is Dr. Zoidberg, although no one pay any attention to  him.” Leela said

“Where are they taking them?” asked Fry.

“They’re taking them into Klink’s office and probably to the cooler, and finally onto Berlin.” Hogan answered

“Well we have to do something! We can’t  just abandon them!” Leela exclaimed.

Meanwhile, in Klink’s office we find the professor, Amy, Hermes, and Zoidberg standing around while Klink, Burkhalter, and Hochstetter discuss  what to do with them.

“This some filing system you have here Mr. Klink.” Hermes said as he was looking through Klink’s filing cabinet

“That’s Colonel Klink! And stop going through those files!” Klink said

“What are you doing here and where are you from?” asked Hochstetter

“Why where’re from the future, the 31st century to be precise, the year 3008. And I’m, Professor Hubert Farnsworth, this Hermes, and this Amy, and the talking lobster is Dr. Zoidberg.” The professor said.

“Hurray someone acknowledged me! And I’m being interrogated with friends!” shouted Zoidberg while raising his claws.

“Shut up you filthy crab!” Hermes shouted back.

“Why are you here!” shouted Hochstetter back at the four of them.

“Please what’s with all the shouting?” asked Zoidberg.

“Just ignore him, he’s a poor, constantly hungry lobster.” Hermes said.

“Why are we here you ask, oh I’m afraid that’s it’s a pretty long story and I’ll just be taking up more  of your time.”  The professor said.

“Klink do  you have anything else scheduled for the next few days?” asked Burkhalter

Klink then began mumble his usual nonsense, then “Klink answer!” shouted Burkhalter

“No Herr General.” Klink replied sarcastically. “Good you will make the necessary arrangements for these guests, I suggest using one of the prisoners barracks.” Burkhalter said.

“But  sir what should I do with the other prisoners?” Klink asked, “Put them in another barracks for the time being, in a few days they will be taken to Berlin.” Burkhalter answered.

“Wait shouldn’t the proper forms and other such paperwork be done first?” asked Hermes as they herded out of the office.

“Why do you care?” answered Klink.
“Oh it’s just one of my tendencies to worry about things like that, see  being a Bureaucrat. I enjoy doing filing, collating, filling out forms etc. “ Hermes replied. ]

“My filing system shouldn’t concern you, now get  out!” Klink said.

The professor, Hermes, Amy, and Zoidberg were taken to barracks 15. Meanwhile , we find Hogan, Carter, Newkirk, LeBeau, Kinch, along with Fry, Leela, and Bender in Hogan’s office, they were listening to the entire conversation that had taken place in Klink’s office, since they had a listening device hidden in the photograph of Hitler giving a speech. They were listening to it via a coffeepot.

“Well there you have it folks.” Hogan said “Can you identify the rest of your crew?”

“Well, the senile old man would the professor,  Zoidberg would be the one who shouted whenever someone w=mentioned his name. And Hermes was the one that sounded like a Jamaican and Amy didn’t speak at  all it seemed.” Leela explained.

“Do you know where they’re taking them?” asked Fry

“Well from the sounds of it looks like that they’re taking your friends to Barracks 15.”

“Men do have a clear tunnel to barracks 15?” asked Hogan\

“Well we were trying to dig sort of an overpass, but it collapsed and filled in a portion of tunnel, it would take weeks to dog out.” Newkirk said

“Perhaps old Bender here can be of  assistance, I’ll do anything for free booze and cigars.” Bender said  pointing to himself

”Since when do you care about helping other people Bender?” Fry asked his best friend.

“Since now of course.” Bender replied.

We next find Bender using his hands as drills and drilling through the caved in section of the tunnel, and soon Hogan, then Fry, Leela, and Bender emerge from a trap door in the floor  of the barracks.

“Hey look something’s trying to  come up  through floor!” Amy said

“Hey she’s right for right for once! Zoidberg stop eating those curtains!” Hermes said

“A-Wha What was  that you said there’s  something coming up through floor?” the professor said.

“Yea look that section is moving up!” Amy said.

As soon as Amy said that, Colonel Hogan, followed by Fry, Leela, and Bender came up through the trapdoor in the barracks.

“Why hello, I’m Colonel  Hogan, and I believe you know who these three are.” Hogan said once he came up.

“Oh my yes who are you again?” the professor said as he looked at Fry, Leela and Bender.

“Its us professor, your delivery crew, Fry, Leela, and Bender!” Leela said.

“Oh now I remember. How did you end up here?” said the professor.

“Well after a while of walking down a dirt road, we ran into one of Colonel Hogan’s men and he brought us here.” Leela said. “ And how did you end up here?”

“Well Zoidberg here decided to go find some food and ran into some German soldiers, and being the stupid lobster  he is, he brought them back  to the ship. Then we were captured and       brought back here.” Hermes said

“Well tonight  were escaping with the help of  Colonel Hogan and his men. “ Leela  said.

“Hurry I’m escaping with friends!” Zoidberg said

After the evening roll call, we find the PE employees gathered near the emergency exit, with Col. Hogan looking through a periscope, seeing if there were any German patrols out. There were none, and so made a small speech.

“Well, it’s been a pleasure helping you, and have nice trip. We already took care of your absence, just a little threat about being sent to the Russian front took care of that. What’s going on is that  we have orders to take out a German Anti-Aircraft battery just outside of town. Carter, Newkirk, and LeBeau here will escort you as far as necessary. They will then proceeded on to the battery, plant the dynamite, and when the guns start firing, either at you our bombers which our due in about two or three hours. Got it?”

“Yea sure.” Was the reply.

Next everyone exited the tunnel, and so the PE crew went towards the ship and Newkirk, Carter, and LeBeau went towards town.

A couple of hours later we find the PE crew getting the ship ready for take-off when Fry said “What’s that rumbling noise I hear?”

“It must be those bombers that Col. Hogan told us about what should we do  professor?” Leela said

“Well, activate the ships camouflage and hope that the bombs don’t hit us. “ the professor said.

“Why can’t we take off now before the bombers are over head?” Leela said, “We could do that.” The professor replied.

“Well then crew prepare for takeoff.” Leela said

The ship lifted off and shot back into space, towards the wormhole that was closing fast. And so we find the crew safe and sound back in the year 3008, although it’s only April 19. They then arrive back at the Planet Express building.

As the PE employees are gathered around the conference table, they begin to discuss what happened over that past few days, then when Hermes looked down at the paper he was holding he exclaimed “Hey mon take a look at this, we’ve got to get to the “Mad Scientist of the Year Award” ceremony, which is TOMMROW!  People, go home and pack a set of formal clothes and MAKE IT SNAPPY! As soon  as you all get back, where’re leaving!” With that last sentence, they were all out the door and headed to their respective homes as quickly as possible.

“Ok I’ve made our hotel reservations, and now off we go to Hammelburg.” Hermes told the crew as they boarded the ship with their bags. We next find the PE ship landing near an a Medieval-looking building with the sign saying “Hammelburg Hilton”.  Leela then paid the valet to park the ship and we next find them standing in the massive lobby of the Hammelburg Hilton.

“Farnsworth, what are you doing here? I didn’t know you were one of the nominees?” said the professors arch rival – Ogden Wernstrom.
“Wernstrom! I’m not only one the nominees, but I am going to win that award!” shouted the professor at his rival.

“Come on professor, let’s go check in.” Leela replied while holding the professor’s shoulder and turning him to the reception desk where the rest of the group was checking in.

“Welcome to the Hammelburg Hilton, how may I be of asitinece to you?” the receptionist said from behind the desk.

“We have reservations under ‘Planet Express’ for two nights.” Hermes said to the receptionist.

“Ahh, here they are, rooms 1488 through 1492. Here are your room keys.” The receptionist said and handed them five keycards.

As the group was in the elevator, Hermes passed out the room keys

“The room arrangements are as follows, the professor is in 1488, I’m in 1489, then its Amy and Kif in 1490, then Fry and Leela in 1491, then Bender and Zoidberg in 1492.” Hermes said

“Why do I have to share room with that annoying lobster?!” Bender complained “And not to mention, I can’t steal anything from him either!”

“Relax Bender, its only for a couple of nights and it won’t be that bad.” Fry told him as they stepped off the elevator and headed toward the rooms.

We find the Planet Express group gathered around a table all in formal outfits. We find that the seating arrangements were as follows, the professor, on his left was Hermes, next to him was his wife LaBarbra. Next to LaBarbra is Amy and Kif, then Fry and Leela, then Bender and Zoidberg. The professor was in tux, as were Fry, Hermes, Bender, and Zoidberg. Kif was in his dress DOOP uniform. The women all had similar dresses on although different colors.

“Please welcome tonight’s MC, the 50th president of the United States and host of the 21st century TV show The Colbert Report, the head of Stephen T. Colbert!” the announcer said, as Colbert’s head was brought out onstage and set in front of the microphone. The crowd was applauding during the announcement.

“Welcome to tonight’s ceremony, where we honor the mad scientist of the year, and I get to get away from sitting next to Jon Stewart.” Colbert said as the audience laughed.

“Tonight’s nominees are Professor Hubert J. Farnsworth, Professor Ogden Wernstrom, the head of Dick Cheney, and many other people whose names I can’t pronounce.” Colbert announced

An envelope was brought up  to the stage and little robotic hands extended from the base of the jar and Colbert opened the envelop and read the winner “and the winner of the 3008 ‘Mad Scientist of the Year Award goes to….Professor Hubert J. Farnsworth!”

“Professor wake up you’ve won!” Hermes said.

“What’s going one you say I won something Hermes?” the professor said as he was coming awake.

“Yes mon, now go up to that stage and get that award!” Hermes said as the group was congratulating the professor.
