Cheers for all the nice comments everyone  :)

Yes I did notice the Russian, Frisco, but was a tad confused by it. I'm not sure it quite works, especially the verb zed bit. But then, there was I thinking "Ha, Сразу...he's trying to write 'Crazy' Cyrillicised, but it doesn't work out like that! Ha, I should tell him that he's in effect written 'Srazu' which isn't even a Russian word!

Oh, right, it is a Russian word..."

So anyway, "Сразу"*, ФрискоСемнадцать? Очень хорошо, товарищ...

* Now that I know what Сразу actually means...

Pity about the Red Dwarf film. I'd love for it to materialise but I'm not holding my breath.

Thought I'd throw up the latest "Sly-Fox" sig as this is general art thread   :flirt:

It's zombie related, and what's not to love about zombies?

Full size version:  http://www.arseaboutface.com/slyfox/large_zombiefox.jpg

Even managed to squeeze a Futurama related missing person into the poster:

And if there is anyone out there that hasn't seen 'Shaun of The Dead' yet, you should get out there and grab the DVD pronto.

It was supposed to say "At once comrade Zed!" but I somehow screwed it up. Not sure where the verb thing came from either?

Okay, second attempt at a good kung-fu pose for Leela (the first is back on page 11, but it ain't that great). Disclosure - I loosely based the pose from something I found on a webcomic.

Am much happier with the dynamics of this pic. And I know she's missing her wristcomp, it's still in sketch stage. Was thinking of making Nudar from BBS the victim, sort of what would have happened if Bender had missed blocking her.

Wu_konguk is right, the millisecond after the impact is best...   :)

Nice stuff Sly-Fox, really enjoyed it  :)
Had another dream about zombies though so in some respects I was a bit "argh!"

But don't mind me

El-Man, the phrase "kick ass" really does fit in with that pic - nice one!  :D

@ El
Ahh that is better. Also my advice was useful?....this is unprecedente, perhaps a little more advice then :P

Depending on how much damage you want the kick to have done, you could leave a spit/blood trail from the mouth of the atackee a la Raging Bull. This cna give the direction of the kick with out having to resort to speedlines.

Damn, that's subtle. Very nice. I love how the sign seems to suggest that Fry broke the other jar.   :laff:

It's like a "Fry was here and broke this" sign. I suppose Planet Express probably has a ton of those lying around.

You're right! He does have Fry's hairdo. Very sneaky! But that's why your name is Sly-Fox.  ;)

Very neat! Love how you've put the signature and date into her neck tie. Quite interested in what the costume/uniform is all about  :)

Love the pics Sly-Fox. Had to chunkle when I saw the "no-Frys" sticker  :laff:
Great attention to detail in all of them  :)

You hit the nail on the head! I changed the G to fit the actual Speed Racer logo and added the extra jazz on the sleeves to make it look more futuristic as it seems that arm additions are all the rage in the 30th century! As to why I put my signature in a much more secluded spot... I'm trying to find hiding places for my signature. That whole art law thing that came up a while ago got me wanting to do it. It's still quite noticeable because the dates are floating around (I can't let that go for some reason) but it's unique and I hope it keeps that whole "art law" thing from taking my newer pieces...

Long-winded and most likely nonsensical post aside... Thanks for liking my latest work!

Very good picture there Zoidy.

To be honest, I don't like signatures being in the way of a piece, it distracts from the piece as well.  However, I also think artists should get credit for what they do, so placing a signature in a discrete manner like that is perfect.  It seems like it goes with the piece much more that way.  :)

Matt Groening places his signature on Homer Simpson all the time. Ever notice how his hair and his ear often form a M and a G?

Oh, and that's the cutest picture of Leela I've seen for a long while. Pristine line quality.

This is my most recent finished project, even though I got some render's still to do I conisder it finished. Its going to end up in my showreel, which my M1A1 Abrams might appear in.
This is in fact just a render test.

I want to go out and take photos for the background, but winter has kinda stopped that.
My current 3d WIPs are a GT40, female character model, and the various art assets for Mirage

Unfortunally I don't have a still render of the Abrams, only a poor quality turn table. I need the sorsen 3 codec for After Effects XD

For the car I did a diffuse pass, a specular pass thats duplicated in photoshop, and an ambient occlusion pass, with all the passes done with Mental Ray in Maya 2008 Combined in Photoshop over a photo.
