Yeah you do really good work Zed. My personal favorite is the Russian one with the PzKpfw IV in the background.

Eitherway, cheers very much Likewise Ralph @Archo: The others beat me too it about the correct plane thingy, but yeysus - horrible ragged mess??? Sweet, very, very sweet Love to see it coloured. Also would ADORE to see a MiG version! </biased>

The Aircraft in that picture is an Su-27 Flanker. Su-27 This is a MiG-29 And before anybody says anything, this is on-topic because we're discussing what should be in Archonix's picture.

Shipper discussions always degenerate into military aircraft discussions.
This shall henceforth be known as Archonix's Law.

- Different shape air intake
- Completely different tail section (engines, vertical stabilisers, location of tail wing and the fact that there are fins underneath)
- Different camo pattern - blues much more common on a Sukhoi than a MiG
- Sukhois in general are considerably larger than the MiG-29 (compare size to the crowd)
- Could point out some more but won't.
Sorry - former aircraft recognition champion and MiG-29 fancier speaking there Plus that's probably the most horrific image of the Lvov disaster that exists (really enjoyed seeing it again BTW, thanks muchly..). I'm surprised you found it without seeing the words "Su-27" mentioned again and again, futz. ... I'm in a really pinickety/vitriolic mood this morning, sorry everyone

Despite the crashes, I still consider a Su-27 or variant a better match for Leela. Graceful, powerful, and she wouldn't hesitate to kick your ass. I posted some links to a few pix of the Su-30MK and MKI variants here if you're interested.

I still see Fry as more of a Falcon guy. Not to mention the fact that he probably would never go near a Russian plane considering his upbringing. "All the way back to minuteman Yancy Fry, who blasted commies in the American Revolution!"

Well I meant that in the context of matching characters to Russian aircraft in particular (...which I do a lot...). I actually view Fry as a Tomcat person for some reason. @HipNoJoe: The F-22 is fugly and it cheats its way to success! Bah! Besides, enemy air forces can negate that advantage if they just use better tactics. Several years ago in a war game the RAF mopped the floor with their USAF counterparts simply because they approached the sitation knowing they were at an disadvantage and thought their way around it. A pair of Jaguars - anything but stealthy - managed to slip by the enemy fighter screen and eliminate the US AWAC (theoretically) simply through clever flying. ...Archonix we're hijacking your thread. So sorry! If needs be I'll draw Leela with the Flanker...
