honestly the tats really dont hurt that bad if you want to know the truth I am scared to death of needles. it just depends on where you get it but this one did not hurt that bad because I knew how cool it would be when I got done

inside of the arm was a little tender back of the legs not to bad and yes boney parts are bad too. the worst is the inside of your elbow that one did sting. it always easiest just to remember how cool it will look when you are done

Nice tat, liljocephus. That's Homer from the "Whacking Day" episode, right?
Bendersfan1221, my personal experience has been that tattoos don't really hurt that much (despite what you may hear in the media or in movies). Like everyone else here has said, there are less and more painful areas to get them. Generally, the ball of the shoulder or the upper arm is not bad (I have a college Fraternity tattoo on my right shoulder, and it didn't really hurt to get; it feels like someone's pricking you with a needle). Take a couple of tylenol 2 hours before you get it done, and you'll be fine.
Just one thing: make sure your design choice is what you REALLY want before you get it done, and make sure you won't be embarrassed by the design 30 years from now. Sounds silly, but once it's on, that's it, unless you want to spend elevendy-jillion dollars to have it lasered off (if it can be lasered, that is). Last thing you want is to have regrets of "I shoulda, woulda, coulda"...

Tattoos hurt dont let anyone tell you otherwise. But after the first couple you start to learn how to drown out the pain. Ignore it really and just focus on other shit, i tend to listen to pink floyd and wach futurama I want a bender/homer tattoo one where thier each slumped over one of myshoulders with a brew in one hand and air fiving eachother with the other...SICK!
