I, Mudd. My parents have all these old Star Trek cards that have characters adn what not and I drew this one from one of the cards.

How are they? I'm gonna add in shading and darken lines and what not as the week goes on so expect new versions of these by like the weekend or next week. I alread stared on shading that why some stuff looks weird but it'll look better hopefully.

Yeah, but I need time to actually do them. I was going to try Kirk yesterday but my mom started getting on me about college (Who needs it?) and the fact that my room is so bad you can't see the floor. But the floor is over rated you know? As long as I can find stuff.

Coldy or anyone got any advice on what I can do to improve the drawings? I really have a hard time with doing lips on guys, so I don't know. I'm gonna edit these up and repost them. But I could use some help with getting them to look better.

I'll do a Futurama version of Shatner/Kirk later today and get started on a scketch of Kirk too. The Futurama version can definatly get done tonite (If I don't get forced into finishing up early action college crap) I don't know about the scketch that would be up tomorrow at the earliest.

I do male mouths as just a single line.
You can add the impression of greater substance with the groove between bottom lip and chin, but try to do too much and you'll make the bloke look like a transvestite.
Sometimes less is more, and with drawing it's sometimes wise to acknowledge a degree of stylization is necessary.

ie: lips and eyelashes to be excluded from male characters in order to properly convey them as masculine.

This is unless you fancy yourself as being able to draw photographic.

Thank you and no I don't think that I can draw photographically. I can braly so eyelashes on girls. Doing the single line with the added defiantion under it would be alot better. That's what I'll try to.

Posted at 9:45 pm: so I lied (so far) about the Kirk. But here's a new thing: Still has Chekov but also Uhura. I forgot Chekov's badge I'll add it when I edit it up and repost.



So what do you think? Ehh not too happy with how it turned out. I really need to work on facial expressions which is part of my problem. Anything else? Not cleaned up yet either. I'll work on that tomorrow.

Haha, I'm sure you are. Ok I will. Yeah. I only have Rose Art Markers and colored pencils and pain on my computer but I will ink and color them. As soon as I get money (That's not going to my Bender's Big Score fund) I think that I can get that pen you recomened but I also need to save my money so using regular markers to outline oreven just a normal black pen might even be good for now.

Depends on what you call a good accident. My truck needs like $1900 worth of work and the other car like $3000. (Although if you looked at their car you wouldn't be able to tell that they got hit. The trunk door is jammed and that's all. The stupid wheel that sticks off the back of jeeps did more damage to my poor truck.) It was raining and it was a little icy from the night before and the car in front of me slammed on his breaks and I did too but my truck slid I stalled it because it's manual but that did nothing but comprimise steering and now the front end on my poor '95 Ranger is trashed. It still runs but all the lights are busted, the hood is buckled. No body got hurt so that was a good thing.

I'm gonna try to color more tonight. My sister is having a b-day party tonight because she just turned 14 so my house is going to be insane with little 14 year old boys and girls running around. So I have no clue if I'll even be able to get downstairs to get to the computer that has Photoshop on it.
