Hmmm.
So here's the full cast of Final Fantasy VII obviously.
Yep... all nine characters in one pic.
...It was hard to fit them all in, and I think this can stand as a good example of how you can muck something up by trying to do too much at once.
Originally I was only gonna do Cloud and Tifa... but then I thought it'd be a good idea to throw Red XIII in. So far so good. I then felt the urge to slide Barret in... and it started to go downhill from there. I was compelled to add the rest of the cast because they're like a family to me and I'd feel bad for leaving any of them out.
So finally what we have here is a confusing mishmash of misshapen half-bodies.
Nine characters in one pic is about six too many... I mean, look how poor old Cid turned out! He looks like he's lost a few chromosomes.
Only thing I'm really happy with here is the 'Lifestream' effect I managed to create for the background. "Can you hear the Planet's cries?"
Anyway, next FF7 pic I do will be simpler - Cloud versus Sephiroth, one on one, clash of the titans.

I always figured Leela just went temporarily deaf.  Depending on when Bender blasted her, it might not be such a stretch for her to regain her hearing overnight.

Ugh.  Now I remember why I don't go into offtopic.  You post something somebody doesn't like, and they all jump on you like a bunch of bloody jackals.

For what it's worth, the guy who started that is an asshole.  He was an asshole before you arrived, and he will continue to be an asshole after we all are long gone.

I much prefer hanging out in the fan art/fic forum, everyone is so much nicer and we all encourage each other.     

And finally, (and this applies to everyone) in my experience people tend to slam what they can't do themselves.

It is just a minority who are being jerks, ColdA, as you said yourself. And you are the guy doing most of the art and writing around here these days, so it's a sad and large loss to PEEL's creative heart if you stayed away, just because a handful of miserable gits are just miserable gits.

I'm really sorry to see you leave, CA, but I understand why you did.  I hope that one day you'll reconsider and return.

EDIT: I think I subconsciously avoid Off-Topic for this very reason.  I just don't fit in over there, and most of my attempted posts in that corner of PEEL seem to stick out like a sore thumb.  It's great to lurk there sometimes for entertainment value, but I just can't "walk the walk."

I still post here because there are still things on this board that interest me, and people that I like chatting with, but that's just me.  If you can't find a personal reason to stay, then that's all the reason you need to leave.

(I still stand by my "I wish you'll come back one day" statement, though.)
