Good question. I've never timed one.
4-6 hours or more depending on the size and amount of detail.
I don't draw a character quickly just for the sake of posting it.
If I'm gonna produce fan art, it's gotta be worth the effort.

I just draw when I get bored (most of the time) and even then I only draw the charecters, I wish I could draw them in scenes like you and some other PEELers do...

I don't know what amazing art program the Cap'n is using for animated gif pictures, but I've been told - and know from own experience - that unFREEz seems to be a good program, nicely accomplishing this artwork needs.

Hehe, even intended as an idealized image of stoic heroism, Zapp still looks like a creep. I think it might be the skirt.

No biggie. Just a rendition of the portrait of Zapp that hangs in the Lovenasium.
It's based on Aron Shikler's painting of JFK that hangs in the White House.
Just a little something new to post while taking a break from my next big piece. Which, incidentally, is going to be a collaboration betwixt meself and a very special guest artist....
