Some extracts taken from my novel 'Silhouettes' that I'm currently trying to get published.
This isn't Futurama related and these samples are taken at random and are non-consecutive. [sorry, I had to remove it due to length restrictions. Try reposting it in several installments of < 50kb... - mArc ]

Defile who I defile. Eat who I eat.

And he makes jokes about things normal people wouldn't makes jokes about, like me. Only I don't usually say them out loud...or I do and then I feel a sudden sense of dread until someone laughs, even a tiny bit...

Wpw  That was good. That was very good. The whole 'war-ish' concept. Wow. You really should publish, this, you know. Although it wouldn't be in any Canadian book stores any time soon...aw...
 Ooh, ooh!

*raises hand*

Was I an inspiration to you? I had the nerve to post my own off-topic story, and now you do too!  :D
(P.S: My story needs more views other than jle. Mind being a dear and checking it out? You won't regret it!)

Will do KKB-F. Sorry I haven't already I've been preoccupied by the velociraptor that keeps trying to get in my front door.
I would publish it if I could find a literary agent or published willing to take a chance on me. Unfortunately the literary scene in Australia is as dead as Christian Slater's career.

Here's some more bits:

Remove that ending right now or...some sort of punishment ensues.

I like that you're so confident, but it seems increasingly apparent that this will never see print.

Boy-o, if you put it all together in a way you felt comfortable with - illustrations and text (together at last!) you could have a bestseller. It wouldn't have to be some spish novel full of text on its own, it could be something completely different, fuck standards. Although not too completely... Kind of like a graphic novel, but better. I hereby encourage your creativity.

I've thought about it. I've just never been completely comfortable with meshing my patricular style of illustration with this novel - the book has a rather more serious tone than I'm able to capture with my drawings, and I wouldn't want the story to be misconstrued as some frothy anime knockoff. It's heavy stuff, and important to me. My writing and drawing are kinda seperate entities. I'd like to do a Cale Black story as a graphic novel in the future if Silhouettes is ever published, but it would be a seperate story done in a way that lends itself to the visual medium.

I've plugged Pan MacMillan with some excerpts again now that the manuscript has been streamlined further. In two years this is the third time I've hit them. Maybe it could be the lucky one. We'll see. Those fuckers publish Matthew Reilly and I shit all over him - compared to me his books rate at about high-school level... worse even. If those knobs at Pan don't sign me this time then they've got rocks in their heads... And I'll be forced to liberate those heads from their prissy high-class necks. It's been years since I visited Sydney properly... might be time I painted the town red, as it were...

Why not paint it black?

Heavy stuff...your drawing of Cale (the older one) didn't seem that 'light' to me...
But I don't know. IT was just an idea. Capital t.
Wait, are you saying your drawings aren't important to you? They must mean something for you to have refined your skill for it so well.

Third time's a charm. It's when you use your charm to get what you want.

Wow, this is very good.  Too bad i cant read the whole thing rite now.  Do not give up my son, I think many new writers have trouble getting their works published but I'm sure it gets easier with time.

I think it's cool u included a kiwi in there, as I am living in NZ rite now.  It's an underrepresented country in the sense that not many characters are from NZ

Maz - My drawings are... different. They're a seperate thing from my writing... like chocolate is seperate from lamb chops...
...unless..... hmmm.... I'm gonna try out a new recipe.

x-number1fan-x - thank you very much. Would you like to try my patented choc-coated lamb chops?

Apple tea - Ha... haha... hahaha... the New Zealander is actually one of the first characters to die. My bad... I just can't stand their accent. Also, there is a certain rivalry between my country and NZ... all in good fun though.

KKBF - Yeah, the dogs of war do let slip the dialogue of war to some extent. Cultured they're not.
Also, I'm glad you like the ending. I like to leave off with an emotional impact, and I'm particularly proud of that one. I might post some more in time... although if the book ever gets published I'd want some material to be left unread so y'all would have an excuse to buy it.

For your interest, two drawings of Cale Black... but I'm not completely happy with either. Not sure why but I've yet to capture his true essence:

Hahaha, yea I'm aware of the rivalry, especially in rugby or something like that.  I'm not a New Zealander so it dont really affect me if he dies first

Yeah, and it's not like I kill New Zealanders in real life and bury their bodies out in the national park or anything silly like that.
