Unlucky13, is that "Invader Zim" style your basing your drawings on? I love them, and I tend to think that they are more attractive than "Invader Zim"

That is probably because I always thought the coloration of that show was too harsh... and I never really got it.... of course I never watched it...

I had fun merging them... actually I'll you how so people can think for when they make them.... for those who are interested in reading rants...

Bits of Leela
Starting canvas; Cyber House Rules Leela. (for body shape, nose, eyes), skin type/colour
Edited; height (shortened), bosom (lessened, ponytails (duplicated, down-sized + reshaped).
Bits of Fry; Flipped fringe, overbite emphasized, hair type/colouring.

Personality mainly influenced by;
Fashion sense; Amy/Leela
Attitude: Bender/Fry
Intelligence: Leela/Munda
Strength: Leela
Uncoordination: Fry
Heart; Fry/Leela/Nibbler

So, with that all added together results in the clever smart-alec who's generally good looking and skillful at everything except perhaps sitting still and complicated hand-eye coordinate activities. Acts on impulse, enjoys video games, television, blernsball and loves all animals.
She wants to be a spaceship captain or space pirate when she grows up.
She has a small group of friends at school, despite being bullied for her irregularities such as being blind in one eye and having uncommon red hair.

I'm going to stop there so I can still have unrevealed characteristics for a fanfic much later on.

BU99 - you'd be surprised what a little line can do. It can be the difference between happy and sad - it can add or subtract 30 years. And furthermore, if you draw one on the wrong part of a world map you can alter the course of human history.

Ha! It's taken me like 3 hours but I finally scanned something correctly!



There, nice and big for you. Don't critize the little smears on the outside. I'm still new at this.

Let's break this down.

Name: Ren Avery Fry.
Age: 16
Hair: Short, a red-violet color.
Shirt/Pants: Red shirt (Fry's Jacket) and long jeans (Fry)
Shoes: Actually there were supposed to be like high-top sneakers, but I didn't put the laces in.
Gloves: Not sure why, I just like them.
Eye patch: Mutated eye underneath. Thanks to her mutant mother Leela.
Freckles: Also from Leela.
Height: Not exact but she's pretty tall. Taller than Amy probably.
Personality: Sarcastic yet witty. Caring and thoughtful. Has a lighter sense of humor than Leela but isn't really as stupid as Fry. (Her brother is). Learned her street smarts from Bender. And has a thing for building weapons. Destructive much.

Be careful what you wish for. I have a bleak and disturbing view of the future.

For example... here's a daughter of Phillip and Leela Fry. Her name is Nebula Fry, though known to her friends as 'Nebbie', or 'Neb' for short. She's a bit of a punk chick, rebellious and full of attitude.
She's fond of piercing and has taken up Uncle Bender's cigar habit.
Hairstyle is a binary of her parents, colouring is from the mother's side. She has her father's eyes and mouth, and her mother's nose and freckles (see teenage Leela). Hand-me-down garments - her mother's tank top and her father's red motorcycle jacket, both modified to taste... and also her mother's boots and wristamajig. The oversized combat BDUs belong to the artist - I'm letting her borrow them.

Where did Fry and Leela go wrong?

Well I just drew it with a texta. For something quick and simple it's good enough for me. I wasn't going for a masterwork - those take days. They're a big commitment... almost like a marriage to a sheet of paper... and I'm not ready for that yet - I'm still young, I want to live, to experience new things... that's why I'm giving back your engagement ring. I'm sorry BU99... maybe one day, but not today.

Something that's smaller than a normal eye. It's yellow and green and theres a film over it that she can't see out of. So basically it's useless. Or is it?   

I don't think your picture sucks. It's just overwhelming that she looks really punkish. Like she'd jack you for money with only a paper clip and you'd give her your pants.
