Except I have absolutely no idea what's going on in this picture.  Feel free to make up a story, anyone.

I made up Emmeline (aka "Emmy" ) on July 20th, 2000, the same night I found out Futurama, in a travisty of a decision, was snubbed for an Emmy nod.  This is one of the few pictures I've attempted of her that a) I've actually finished, and b) somewhat resembled the image of her in my brain.  She's supposed to be about 6-7 in this picture (she's never been older than 6 in my head), and... that's about all I can say, really.  Nibbler was stuck in as an afterthough, because I figured that if she's staring at something awe-worthy, he's probably invovled in some fashion. 

I'll color this (eventually), but my computer's almost fried beyond redemption right now, and I'm afraid to run PSP on it.    It's probably for the better; I'm still fixing little things on the hard copy.

Hmm... I always thought that Fry would be the 'overprotective' kind of dad. Sure, he doesn't seem like he would be at the moment, and certainly none of his friends think he would be, but when he actually has a child... Think about it. I imagine a frantic 'Paul Henessey' sort of thing...

Hehehe.... *sigh*  Yeah.  I didn't want to go with the standard, "Oh, she has her *insert parent here*'s hair," so I tried to give her something more, erm, "independant" of her parents.  It's actually just supposed to look really curly and messy, like... um....

Well, I can't find Sarge's picture, but it was loosely based off his sketch of that little girl dozing on the shovel from "Lisa the Skeptic" (?).  And just so I can tie it back to genetics, I figured she got the curliness from Munda.

It does look like she has dreads, though.  I think that's probably unavoidable.

Do you mean you can't see the picture I just uploaded?  That's strange: it's working for me right now, but that might just be because it's still in my cache folder.  ImageShack has done odder things to me....

Edit: *remembered why she liked the sideburns* Oh, yeah, they're not proper sideburns; they're just clumps of loose hair that naturally fall in front of her ears (which is how I assume Leela's hair works).  So if rounding them makes them look poofy and like they shouldn't be sticking to her head, it's because they aren't actually sticking to her head.

...That made sense in my brain, anyway.

I still think they look odd. Munda's hair comes to a point over her ears even though her hair is curly.

Coincidentally, the main character in my as-yet unpublished novel has a similar scar on his left cheek just like your dude there. It was sustained in a firefight with militia forces in East Timor... but you'll just have to buy a copy if and when it ever comes out.
