If Spacey's doing the beta work, updates will slow because Spacey goes over every sentence with a fine-toothed comb.  When Spacey's finished, anything beta'ed will be able to pass a graduate level English class.

I wish I had Spacey's writing and reviewing skills.

Thanks, I will take your comments into account. This seems necessary, as I have almost no experience with writing fiction in English yet - good to get a few tips in that respect. But I guess I will stay at my British style, as I mainly read British authors... hard to shake off that habit.
Until now, my English writing was mainly done on boards like this one and in writing articles about history, no fiction at all - I have still to find my moves.
