The anti-shippers (Dr. Thunder, Kryten) haven't made themselves heard yet.

Give them time, give them time...

I might continue regardless as I've reached a pretty decisive stage in my plot.

Time is against them!

I wouldn't call myself anti-shippy... more like pro-shippy-moderation. Your first was a bit too shippy for my personal tastes. But if you wanna please your audience, more shippy is probably the way to go.

Ship in fiction is like sex in fiction - almost everyone likes seeing a bit of it, but there's a fuzzy line between "enough" and "too much of a good thing."

Now, nobody on this forum has gotten near the "too much" mark yet (at least, I know no one else has and I hope I haven't), but I've seen it happen in other fandoms, so I know it can be done.

My advice is always: "have enough ship to tell the story you want to tell, but not much more than that."

i'll take your advice with a pinch of salt.

too little is fine but too much is far too much.

I wouldn't mind reading a less shipy FF, actually I keep thinking I should write one.
