Hey, figured I'd finally kick this off an open my first art thread. In the coming days, I'll post my first Futurama artwork as soon as I scan it. For my first series, I have been drawing the major Futurama cast as famous rock stars and music personalities. This idea originally came from my girlfriend, RabidPixy, but she decided not to follow up with it. So I decided to take a chance and try it. I have already completed two of the drawings, and I have about 5 more to come. Here are some of the characters: -Fry as Billy Joe Armstrong from Green Day -Leela as Madonna -Hermes as Bob Marley -Amy as Yoko Ono (with John Lennon's head in a jar) -Zapp Brannigan as Freddie Mercury of Queen -Kif as Ringo Starr of the Beatles -Bender as Axl Rose of GunsNRoses -Professor as Mick Jagger
Any other ideas you guys can think of are very much appreciated.
And to hold you over until I scan the pictures, here's a painting I did for a high school art class. A new take on classic 1920s Soviet-Communist propaganda:
Translated, the text reads "Arbeiter der welt...vereinigen!" or "Workers of the World Unite!"

Yeah, sorry everyone. My scanner is being a dick. Not to mention that I havent had the opportunity to work any any new art. But that should change soon. As for the drawings, I already have Billy Joe Fry and Freddie Brannigan. Not my best work, but okay. @Chrys: Sue me, I havent taken a German course in about 3 years.

Ask and you shall receive: Fry. Pretty good. Definitely not the best out of the series, but I loved how the hair turned out: Zapp. Definitely the worst out of the lot, but I'm very happy about how god damn ugly he looks. I made it a point to have him wear the tiniest possible clothing, and have LOTS of body hair: Next up. Hermes. His hair looks awesome, and I mainly used his son Dwight's hair as a reference, but added a few more dreads to make it more Marley-like. I'm quite proud of the Les Paul Guitar, considering I did it off the top of my head without a picture: Save the best for last. Here's Amy as Yoko. This is definitely my favorite. The expression of the face is good, as is the clothing with the light shading. I'm a bit bummed that John's Head didnt turn out as I'd hoped, but it's okay:
