Anyone Actually Draw?

Does anyone actually draw the characters?I started drawing them by hand and was wondering if there was anyone else who did?

check through the links in the fan art/fiction section for awhile.  There's almost constantly someone posting a new hand-drawn character

Yep. If you're just starting, I recommend using resource material next to your pad, and thinking about getting a cheap light box to help corrections - depends what you want to do with your drawings, though!

I draw the charecters, but I have no way of getting them on the computer to show you all   

Edit: My light box is a see-through plastic box lid, my desk lamp and some blu-tac

check out the General Fan Art thread, loads of drawn pics there - my latest one's about halfway down page 19, it was handrawn, scanarted, then coloured. Enjoy...? :P

Yeah, I know. If there was an editing button for the title, then, I'd change it... There are 3 scans I've done XD Ok, 4 if you count my Mario pic, and five if you count the one you did....    Six if you count my dragon picture too...but we're not counting those, are we    ;)I'll just... casually slip the thread's link into my post.... *shifty eyes*

It easier to look at the shapes of the characters etc as you're drawing. It's called guide lines, you just go over those lines when you come to "finishing" the pencil drawing. That's what I do anyways

I draw some futurama charecters. It's one of my jobs (I don't work whith Futurama, I just work for a drawing company and a tv station).

I have tried to draw freehanded once, but fairly suck at it. Scan art is more my style, though I haven't done that in a while either.

We have some real pro's here, ie. FemJesse, TheVoices - (both are fairly busy lately), and Cap'n Skusting.

@SexyLeela: I know that you can use the "edit-button". I am just wondering why you don't do it. Please don't double post. Really use it instead.

Well SexyLeela, you are doing a good job with English.

You like to draw, so how about sharing some of your talent with the rest of us.

Do you have chat, it's beter for me to show the images. My computer doesn't allow scaned images to websites, just chat(msn)...

I'm afraid that I don't do chats.  However, if there is a easy way to get scans done, I'm sure that some of these computer literate PEEL'ers can give you advice and information.

Sure I can Ralph, I am pretty sure that I already did, but I will gladly do it again if asked.   

SexyLeela, like I already said, do yourself - and us - a favour and read it. It's not a rulebook as you may think, but a very good guide for new members how to fit into this community that's been alive for nearly 6 years now.It gives you a lot of tips towards the usage of PEEL's codes, its traditions such as PotM and the PEELies, but also some general explanations to the rules this community has laid down to function.

@SexyLeela: Yoiu alrady know the official Chat-room, since I saw you in there. However you saw as well that it is pretty dead around this time this year. Another thing of the chatroom is that hardly any Futurama topics are dicussed there. Simply as it is. People there have been together chatting daily for the past 6 years. Surly they are pretty tired of Futurama talk, as you can imagine. That's also why rules there are even harder than here. It's pretty common that you get kicked out of #futuramachat pretty fast if you start to annoy.

@SexyLeela: Why not take a picture with your digital camera and upload them like you did with your self-picture? If you don't have a scanner, taking a photo of your art with a camera works just as good.

You work at a TV station; I'm sure that there is a scanner there somewhere.  Ask your boss if you can use the scanner.  Copy the scans to a disk and then load them on your computer.  Then you can post them, sharing your talent with the rest of the world (or at least with PEEL).

I draw...but I don't expect anyone to beleive it, because (like Bigfoot and Elvis sightings) I have only anecdotal evidence to show so far. 

Eventually I'll hook up the scanner I have and learn to use it, and then you'll all believe me!

Ah, to be multi-talented.  That is a burden that I've never had to suffer.

Good luck on getting that scanner hooked up and running.  It can't be that difficult - I was able to connect mine and it didn't cause MUCH damage to the city or enviroment...

@ Ralph Snart: But, I myself suffer from that burden myself... I can play a musical insturment -sadly- better than I can draw, or so I think... As for scanners, those are easy to work, or my really old one is. Just press the button on the side after installing the program itself and away you go, pressing magazine as your photo selection. Scans in the best quality...

I draw them just like all my other favourite shows! Coincedently I have just finished one today that I'm really glad I have done as it is a picture hand drawn (tracing, I think is like cheating) of all the characters Fry, Bender, Leela, Amy, Hermes, Professor, Nibbler and Dr Zoidberg all in plaent express, it took me quite a long time and I am really pleased with how it looks!

It's okay.  I can't say I don't enjoy it, 'cause I do, but sometimes I wish I had only one talent, and then I could concentrate on it and actually "achieve something" with it. As it is, I feel pulled in so many directions that I don't know where to go.  There's a reason that a "Jack of all trades" is "master of none."  Such people get distracted by their other interests before they can achieve mastery of anything specific. 

Alternatively I wish one of the talents I had were self-promotion...people with only moderate talents have achieved a great things through sheer public relations.  Sadly, while I can communicate well if I have time to edit myself and think things through several times, face-to-face verbal communication provides too many opportunities for my foot-in-mouth disease to flare up.

I also wish that "trying new things without disproportionate amounts of angst" were one of my talents...

Wow, lots of new faces. Hello all!

I draw the characters (There's a link to my thread in my profile, mainly there for when I need to find it again after drawing nothing for a month or so), as accurate to the show as I can make them.
They're quite easy to draw if you put in lots of practice and pay careful attention to the 'how to draw' guides on the dvds.

So, erm, go forth and draw! There's been a shortage of artists lately.

I draw them even though it has been a while since I've drawn them and I have lost my touch with drawing them, since Ive been working on my comic and then re-drawing #1 and #2 of it.

Most of my fan art was all drawn digitally.
But the one I did of Zoidberg and Edna, I actually did sketch in pencil on paper first.
Then scanned it and finished it in Photoshop.

I draw any characters tht grab my attention like Edna and Amy and Umbreil and Zapp by hand in my Art Thread ther should be a few and also I do half half like Hand Drawn COmputer Colored
