I happy to inform you all that Hippie Toad's new drawing of Hermes is also very accurate. After doing some short research, I found a website announcing what the Futurama : Volume Eight cover will look like. I, myself, was shocked. I can barely believe that they would let this shoddy artwork go on the cover of the very last DVD set. However, at least we will have the entire PE crew's faces on DVD covers.

Here is the cover itself.


Notice how well Hippie duplicated the bright yellow background, and how spectacularly he colored Hermes' spotty shirt. Hippie Toad is truly one of the best artists around. I wish I could draw as well as him, though Im sure I'll never be able to reach his level of performance.
Beamer, Is there any chance that he used to work on the show, possibly as a stroyboard artist or animator? Even if he hasn't, tell him I am amazed by his exceeding artistic skills and that he should invest in becoming a full-out artist.

Amazing. I'm reminded of Picasso at his peak. The clean, smooth lines and bold use of color . . . oh my, I could talk about this all day. Somebody should inform the Smithsonian. I think we're witnessing history in the making, people! The birth of a brave new talent, unrestrained by petty matters of perspective and fluency! Truly I am awed.

I love how elegant the line strokes are, I espacially love where the lip merges into the side of his arm, it adds so much peronality. Oh, and how you cant even read the writing, it makes the peice so suspensfull. Two words, LOVE IT!!!!

I personally admire his ability to portray each character so accurately, while still giving them life and energy in each of his works. He combines mood setting backgrounds and eye catching foregrounds, which add up to create a masterpeice. My personal favorite is Dr. Sozberg. His amazing ability to use contrast and shading really shine in this peice.  I agree, we do, in fact, have a legend nesting in our wee little forum. A bright future awaits you, Hippie.

I know this is all just fun and games, and it is funny, but it kinda sucks for those of us who want our art noticed because its getting so much attention :/

It's not that we don't appreciate the amazing artistic contributions from those genuinely talented people here, a thread like this just naturally garners more feedback (I guess it's a little hard to echo the well-deserved praise in a thread that's full of nothing but, not to mention all the hilarious re-appropriations of Hippie Toad's "arat;" I doubt many of the actual artists here would appreciate such response!).

Plus, aren't you happy The Hippie Toad found his parunts?

Us mere mortals do not yet have the mental capacity to fully grasp exactly who Hippie Toad truly is.  Is Hippie Toad even real? Or is he simply a dillusion that we are all simultaniously observing? He could be any one of us, assuming he does exist; Me, Cartoonlover, or even Unmentionable.We would have to spend multiple millenia attemping to uncover his true identity, along with invest trillions of dollars into the scientists and mathematicians needed to help reveal the secret. Trillions of dollars that no country is able to spend as of yet. It's just not currently possible , although i'm sure it will be sometime in the near future, as technology slowly rises and every country sluggishly climbs out of debt.
Until then, I suggest we continue watching the Hippie Toad as closely as physically and mentally possible. Always remember, however, that Hippie is anyone, and possibly everyone. Never offend him, as you could simply be offending yourself.
