Having got a nice response to my PAINTed arts on General Art V, I deceided to create my own topic.

All images are traced from framegrabs using MSPAINT and MSPHOTOEDITOR to shrink them to a nice size.

To match my current avatar.

Neither do I. I tried it and it like using a hammer and chisel. I have to say your one great scan artist if you use Paint for your work

great scan! But why did you decide use pain instead of any other program like Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop?

My first Zoidberg picture.  My PC only has Paint on it, is the reason why I use it.

Hey alanderar, cool scans you've made, specially using only MS Paint. I also used to use MS Paint (Although I liked Paintbrush better) in my first scans, but it takes more steps to make the scan look good.

-- done last week

-- did this over the weekend, my first attempt at a picture with a background.

Zoidy, got a lot of patience and time to waste  :p, glad I inspired someone else to try doing arts.

JavieR, feel free to post them on your website if you like.

Blimey, you really do those in paint?

That's insane seriously impressive! And they're good scans as well, somehow. I have no idea how you manage to wrestle that kind of quality out of the program.

Are you doing them in paint for the challenge or just because you're lacking more advanced software?

One from the first episode.  I've decided to done one more with a background and then go back to just the characters as it's too time consuming.

Zmithy, I do them in Paint as it's the only package on my PC, although I have recently downloaded a free package to see if I can use it to improves the quality.  It's also mildy theraputic doing them in Paint, makes the mind concentrate.

A couple more PAINTed pictures.  I'll try and do some *proper* pictures, when I get myself a scanner, until then, these will have to do.

Still using Microsoft Paint, although looking at some of the other art, thinking of upgrading.

Last picture for a little while, going away on a mini-break.

I know it's been said before but doing these things with paint you must be one of the most patient people ever. You should really invest into better software, imagine what you could achieve then!

Thank you PumaGirl.  I am looking into another art package, but it's finding a decent free one to play around with.
