Tis a good name. Very accurate.

Maybe I'mr eading too much into it but it strikes me that you've drawn her looking very much like the idealised woman of the 1950s, very tall with broad shoulders. Which I like...

Funky. I like.  :)

Eh ma gawd, I'm sorry TornadoBoy! I thought you wrote my WAS generic! o3o Thank you, and it's not generic! It's your opinion?

As for her shoulders, she is muscley and it's hard to make a woman look muscley without her looking STEROIDS-INDUCED. So yeah - ~____~

Thanks you guys!! I have a pin-up styled picture coming soon! Again, Leela, but really she's the only character I like drawing XDDD

Actually, the "How to draw Leela" tutorial does state to give her bicep a slight bulge.

Sarah's full-frontal of Leela is accurate - Leela is well known for being a physical fitness person and she bench-presses the PE Ship on low gravity planets.

Plus that large rack, uh, her large breasts would require some sort of larger than-female-average upper body to carry them.

So to make a long story short, her upper body is proportioned correctly for her.  She would have broad shoulders and and a slight bulge to her biceps.

Great work, Demeter.

Also, did you get the message I sent you via DeviantArt?

I don't believe I did! =O

And thank you very much ^^ I haven't seen this 'how to draw Leela' tutorial... Or maybe I have, not sure.

ACK! I rewatched 'Leela's Homeworld' and I was crying my eyes out - mostly because of Archonix's perspective on how different it could have been... xD

I'm sure the tutorial "How to draw Leela" is somewhere on the net.  I'll see if I can find it for you later - I'm about to crash and burn for a few hours.

As for my message, check your DeviantArt account.  If you get it, give me a reply.  If not, please e-mail me.

Oh, it's just getting started.  Arch has promised me that this will be a long epic.

And Evila just may be the breakout character of the year.  Arch makes her so interesting that I wish the series had introduced her to be a recurring thorn in Fry and Leela's side.

    • Yes actually, I would believe it.
    • Note Mr. Xanfor's statement makes no allowance for, nor allusion to 'special circumstances' - as you describe Mr. Spock being high on spores.

    Also,

    • HYPNoBRECKY, you aren't a Trekker, are you?

You completely missed a far more potent argument.[/list]Anyone* care to guess what it is?

    * Anyone, that is, except Mr's Snart or Xanfor, who truly being paragons of geekdom having huge interests in science fiction, already knew what it was before I even laid a finger on my keyboard!

I'll one-up you on the Geekdon scale, Spacey, the infor you posted about Spock's parents is known by almost everybody.  Do you know who raised Saavik?

Roberta Grayson, Amanda's sister.  She raised Saavik while Spock paid for her education at the finest schools Earth had to offer and spent extra for her to have a full-blooded Vulcan tutor.

Saavik is also half-Romulan, half-Vulcan and is considered to be a non-person by Vulcans, she never stepped foot on Vulcan until the end of ST III: TSFS.

Now top that, Spacey and Xanfor!

    ---------
Now, out of geek-mode, to a certain extent.
    ---------

Yes, I've commissioned Demeter to do a very special pic for me for two reasons:  One is for Sarah to be able to attend an art convention and be able to pick up some momentos.  The other is to give a gift to a very special person.

Don't worry people, if it's OKay by Sarah, we'll place the commissioned peice here for others to enjoy.

Yeah, spock, Spock, Spock, and the half thing.     :p I don't know if I'm truly a Trekkie, but I only love the original Star Trek... ONLY!!  The others pale in comparison to the First and only Star Trek worth mentioning in any sentence.
edit- mayhaps I am an unofficial Trekkie.  You aren't a real Trekkie till one travels to a convention!!    ;)

Please Spacey - it's not a "Red Shirt".  Those were the poor bastards who got killed in the first 5 minutes of the opening scene of ST: TOS.  People Like Lt. Humanshield, Sgt. Minesweeper, Ensign Cannonfodder and Commander Fubar wore red shirts.

Think about it, who would win a fight - a group of Red Shirts against an equal number of Star Wars Stormtroopers?  The worst meeing the worse.

I own the "Red Jacket, White Turtleneck" patterned from the Star Trek movies, The Wrath of Khan.  Of course the white turtleneck denotes a Command position.  Neither fit me anymore - 23 years of American food will do that to ya.

I've told Demeter take her time and not feel rushed.  Her convention is this weekened and I rather she go to the convention and enjoy it than worry about feeling rushed.

After the person that the picture is for sees it, then I'll place it on this page.

    Sorry. My mistake.
    I need a memory upgrade...
    I wondered for the longest time just why anyone would send their people into a possibly life-threatening situation wearing a color that positively screams;
