Ive decided to start my own fan art thread.
This is the fisrt time Ive gotten serious at drawing and Ive only started after joining this site.

You can tell what you like and dont like about my art, this would hopefully make me a better drawer. Any way all my work is hand drawn, and coloured in Adobe

Heres a repost of a couple of my pics

My first pic ever drawn of Futurama

This stuff is great, especially the pencil sketch of Leela, nice shading  :). Also liked the outdoor and skating pictures for the cool poses.

With Leela's head, try making the neck a bit thinner and the front piece of hair bulkier towards the top.

Looks like you've got the hang of it really quickly, keep it up!

being that you enjoy drawing multiple pictures of same or similar subjects (ie. leela, fry), i would advise trying to copy an image you print out, like the framegrabs here.  using basic algebra you can plot major points by dividing aWidth/aLength and comparing it to bWidth/bLength.

this'll help you get a better feel and improve your hand drawn accuracy.  keep up the good work!

good quality of images, but it seems. that leela should be... you know... less thick

Nice, very nice. I love the colouring and the creativity, but Leela's eye seems to be a bit small in most of them, and everybody's neck is pretty thick/long... Just minor things- It might just be me.

I had always known there wasnt somthing quite right with Leela now that some thing has been said about it I now know what to correct

This is my first attampt at correcting Leela, I dont like the hair line on her and Ive since realised her eye is bigger and is closer to her ear

My first Bender skater pic. I had problems getting his legs right. Off topic: I entered my fisrt comp yesterday and got 5 out of 10 fun my run in the under 18's

Here is probaly my most accurate Leela ever drawn and it took me 15 minutes to draw last night, it has some notes on it are my thoughts that are the changes I think it needs

You seem to have Bender almost nailed, the graverobbing piece is a cool idea and the latest coloured pic is really neat.
He was a Sk8er bot...  :D

Its good that you're practicing Leela, the proportions of the body are OK and the face is looking good too, but the hair still looks a little off.

I sketched up a quick guide for Leela's hair, hope it helps.

But that's just how I draw her, feel free to ignore anything in there that sounds weird, it's more of a late-night scribble than a full-on guide.

Keep it up!

That's also how I draw Leela's head and hair  :D Well, I guess the original source is the DVD, but it works.

Anwyay, you have some nice stuff here. Keep at it. The skating ones seem nifty!

One thing, though. I couldn't help but notice that Leela's pose in your first post is awefully similar to this one of mine. But I'll let it slide.

AsaB, The one in the first post was based on one of your pics, it was the first good Leela pic I found at TLZ

One thing to note about my thread is that the pictures are NOT posted in the order I had drawn them in. Ive got a good Bender and Leela skating doubles with Leela in the air, not finished though    :( ,even after 3 1/2 hours thats long for me.

Heres a group pic, I dont like Fry

EDIT TO POST: The pic on this post was drawn early last week, Ive gotten better at Leela since then

Thanks Zmithy for the hair guide

It's not that big of a deal to me, but some people are really strict about this. And it wouldn't have hurt putting a note that you used my pic as a reference.

And your latest pic isn't working for me. :/

Heres a couple more of my skater pics, plus one non-skater pic
This pic I forgot to post last time I was on the net

Bender and Leela skating doubles

A bit of a werid Leela one, it is meant to be if Leela was getting the feeling of being followed. Read the text downward, left collum first

@ fan artists - how do you draw hands? Im having trouble with them
what are two pencil grades lighter than HB?

I like the latest one, and the weird pic before it - I think that's my favourite one so far.

You're after lighter pencils? Well, theres 'H', '2H' and so on, which give a lighter tone, but I find them a bit too hard, I recommend a 2B pencil for sketching.
If you want it lighter just don't press down so hard  ;) .

Oh, and I asked about hands a while ago, there's a good FemJesse guide here:
I need a hand... with hands!

I've finished the Bender Grave Robbing pic

This is my current work in progress

That scan is out of date since Ive inked a stair set in, I just have re-scan it so I do colours

Im now drawing/sketching with:- HB,H,2H,3H, 6H. I dont like using 2B when drawing but thats me. Besides having a scanner scare, Ive been mainly sketching lately Ive got a nice Prof. and Leela sketch, I'll post them once I scan them into my pc.
Thanks Zmithy for that hand guide link

If this test works you should see my www.skateboard.com.au  avatar

Look at the edit

Could some tell me how to draw Fry?

Heres a Bender inspired by Pawell (I think thats how the artists name was spelled)
