Pencil-style sounds good Anyway, you can do it pencil-style or comic-style. You can even do a whole comic. I'm not here to stop you Whatever you'll do, it will be for sure printed and add to ... ... "Daniela's Purple Album" ... ... together with artworks by artists like for example FemJesse, Sofie Fenwick, FF1, GFF, ...

*Bumpedibump* All right, new art! And this is for Daniela, as a thank you for the lovely picture she drew of me! The drawings I did in return is one of her and Leela, pencil-style, based on a frame from a comic I also drew with her in it (I'm not sure if it's funny though, but I don't care! At least I like it!) Enough babbling; on with the pictures! The comic is a little big, but if I make it smaller, the text gets blurred and unreadable

Woohoo, you laughed! (With me or at me? Nah, I don’t care, as long as you laugh!) Thank you Young_and_Angry, DogDoo8, Spacedal, ooy, Daniela and Benderfan I've probably said it before, but I'll say it again: You have no idea how much your feedback means to me! Originally posted by Spacedal11: No one ever cuts Fry any slack anymore. I know, don't worry, I still love him! But you have to admit it's funny And Daniela: I'm really glad you liked the pictures! Thank you for all those kind synonyms

Thank you, Ingvild, Benderfan and ProZac I'm glad you were all looking forward to the Halloween-comic! It's not a long one, but I spent a LOT of time on drawing it. First I roughly sketched it out in pencil, then I drew the whole thing again on my computer, then I started tracing all the lines by mouse with the Photoshop paintbrush, tried to correct small errors, colored it, and finally combined the whole set of images together like it is now. I guess I’m satisfied with the result I know it’s not Halloween yet (in America), but what the hell, here it is - enjoy! I'd really love some comments on this one! Please?

*chuckles* Thats fantastic, the kid in the windows t-shirt looks just like me, I don't get what costume he's meant to be wearing though. The artwork is nice and smooth, especially on the frame with zoidberg behind the glass and all those little leaves... I can appreciate how long it takes to get a comic drawn, its so annoying when you draw it out in pencil, and it looks just fine, then you scan it in and it looks all crappy bitmappy. The process you described sounds really tedious. EDIT: Whoa, my clock just skipped back for dailylight savings time, do they have that in Norway today? I'm just wondering if you posted the comic in halloween, then time skipped back, and it was no longer halloween? Ok, I'll stop talking nonsense and go to sleep now.

I'm SO glad you all liked it, and that you noticed the details I put into my work! Originally posted by Zmithy: Thats fantastic, the kid in the windows t-shirt looks just like me, I don't get what costume he's meant to be wearing though. Thank you for those kind words! The costume is supposed to be scary; in "Where the Buggalo Roam", Bender tells a ghost story involving the Windows logo, and in "The Honking" the logo's ghost hunts him through the mansion he inherited GFF: Thanks! I'm glad I made you laugh, I just hope you didn't ruin your keyboard! (I guess you didn't since you were able to type afterwards ) Off topic: I once spilled coke all over a 14 GB harddrive (which was a lot in 2001), and a few months ago I managed to do the same thing to my keyboard, so I had to buy a new one... But the new keyboard got a load of orange-juice on it just a few weeks later... Do you have any idea how much I felt like Fry?M. Proctor: Thanks, Ingvild! I have a big smile on my face now! ProZac: I'm glad you liked it, so I'm still smiling! This was a long post! Happy Halloween everyone!

That has so much style becky.
The whole blue atmosphere and chalky highlights capture the lonely but calm personality of Leela, that is a piece of art with deeper meaning. Wow, I'm inspired, screw the maths homework, I'm off to try something more experimental...

Wow the blues! I that picture! How do you artists do that? It's awesome to the max! I'd never be able to draw pictures that cool. But it inspired me somehow... (I hope you don't mind) And please be honest to me if it is crap
Leela - A Cyclopse has to tell
Well, since my parents left me In an orphanarium known as hell The other children tried knocking me off my feet, Nothing was running well.
I was so lonely baby I'm still so lonely, I'm still so lonely I could die.
And although I was always hated, They still didn't put me in doom. I learnd how to kick their asses, and I kicked them out of the room.
But I was so lonely baby and I'm still so lonely, I'm still so lonely I could die.
After that my self esteem fastly was growin' I got a job, getting frosties back. I told them which job they should do if they denied it I kicked their sack.
But I was so lonely baby and I'm still so lonely, I'm still so lonely I could die.
Later I met a 20th century guy He changend my live so well Now I'm a space captain, working with him, but he's so lazy I can tell.

Long post coming up... Originally posted by Lee Roberts : I like your style of drawing. By that I mean, I like the way that your draw that makes it different from the other fan artists out there. Aaw, that's so nice of you! It really means a lot to me to hear that I stand out, which was what I was hoping for when I first started making Futurama art Originally posted by Zmithy : The whole blue atmosphere and chalky highlights capture the lonely but calm personality of Leela, that is a piece of art with deeper meaning. I really like it when people get my more "advanced" pictures. Like Lee Roberts said, the blue was meant to enhance the lonely look Leela has, but since it's also a calm color, it also represents her as a person. (Also, blue is my favorite!) Wow, I'm inspired, screw the maths homework, I'm off to try something more experimental... Yeah, do that! (I do it all the time, because I really dislike the uncreative nature of math You're either right or wrong. Art is different. It's fun, and when someone hates a picture, someone else loves it!) Kyle_M: Thank you, I'm very glad you went as far as wuving my picture Originally posted by germanfryfan: Wow the blues! I that picture! How do you artists do that?
Thanks! My method is that I fill the background-layer with a color (in this case, blue), then I create two new layers. One has the layer mode "multiply", where I draw the dark areas, and the other has the "screen"-mode, where I put the highlights. I use the same blue color to draw with on these two layers, so the color is consistent. When I'm finished with the drawing, I adjust the colors with the levels and the hue/saturation tool, for more contrast and a nicer color. It's not hard to create this effect, but I do recommend a mouse tablet for the "pencil" effect. But it inspired me somehow... (I hope you don't mind) No, I don't! (Wohoo, I inspired two people with my picture!) Like ProZac, I'm not really into poetry, but yours is very good! Verse 1 was moving, and verse 2 was cool: "I learnd how to kick their asses, and I kicked them out of the room." Very Leela-like! I like it! You should submit it to TLZ! ProZac, Ingvild: Thank you both! Your comments are very important to me!

And I'm bumping this again! I've been away lately because of a stupid cold and absolutely no creativity. Is the anything called an artist's block...? Anyway, I have two new pictures: Sorry about the size of this one, but because of the transparency it looked really weird as an Imageshack-thumbnail. I didn't spend too much time on this picture, I just wanted to draw some Futurama-art. (And those lines are supposed to be shadow, by the way!) Leela is my favorite character to draw, for some unknown reason. Maybe it’s her eye. I also drew this picture after Layla had inspired me with her fanfic. Some of you might've seen it before in her thread: Well, that's all. Feedback? Please?

Feedback? Okey doke... I like the coloured detail on the eye, it gives the picture some life. And the shading style is really good, I use it in Graphics class all the time. And artist's block does exist, without inspiration there's no incentive to keep drawing. I've had it for a couple of weeks, after doing a nice watercolour, only for the damn scanner to miss out all the lighter tones . Try watching some futurama and browsing through fanart for ideas, it worked for me. Also like the way you keep trying out different styles, they're all done very nicely, and it gives your art a fresh look. Don't stop, I'm addicted to this thread now!
