Becky, I've seen you post recently, but no art!  Are you busy, stumped, or plotting something deliciously evil?  Or maybe a combination of all three (that would be the best one  )? 

Anyway, you should make maybe a kick ass wallpaper, possibly involving Leela's foot, Zapp's ass, and the interaction between said items (or something on those lines).  Of course, if you've been busy with school or the like (which is very likely), make this request a last priority. 
And remember, my monitor likes 1024x768.

You mentioned that you were working on a "proposing Fry" picture a while ago... I hope I didn't put you off finishing it with my similar-themed picture  .

I'd like to see an awesome new wallpaper too, apart from yours and TheVoice's fanart, there aren't many wallpapers out there that are clool enough for my desktop.
No pressure though, your school/social life has to come first  .

Even if you remember me or not, I can't believe it's been so long. The last time I posted drawings was over six months ago! A late thank you to everyone who's given me compliments since then!

Zoidberg227: Heh, yeah, I'm on it if the offer's still valid! It's a great idea, but I must warn you: I've never drawn Zapp before!

Zmithy: Nah, I wasn't put off  The result is finished now, finally!

I won't go into details as to why I've been gone; it's some personal issues combined with stress. I'll rather just show you guys my new stuff!

This one is a weird Leela. I was just fiddling around with the smoothing tool in Photoshop. Behold the result:


Here's Fry, amazed by outer space (or my Photoshopping if you'd like  ):


And this is my "main piece". I can't remember hour many hours I've worked with this one, but I listened through the Cake album "Nugget" at least 10 times while doing so. Phew. Every single pixel, except the sky, has been digitally painted with my tablet pen. I can't believe I had the patience. Well, enough ramblin', here's the proposing Fry pic (cookies for the one who can pinpoint the episode-reference in this):


I also have some other artworks in the making now, and I promise it won't be six months until next time!

Yay! Becky's back!

Weird Leela: That's just oozing style, I love the colours, and the fluid design.

Firework Fry: Cool idea, photoshop skillz and glowy shading. Nice job!

Proposing Fry: Stunning. You've really captured the moment - Fry's nervous look, Leela's half-shock, half-joy reaction. And the shading - whoah!, it looks like a professional woodcut style.. I would never have the patience for thousands of carefully built-up pen strokes. Seriously impressive. Particularly like the wine glasses (Heh, Fry's is nearly empty. Nice touch), and the rose, the hair, the sky, hell everything!

Oh, and I'd like some cookies (white choc chip if you have 'em), just don't tell me to pick them up from a guy named scrunchie at a neil diamond concert  .

Yay! Your back!! It's great to see you posting fan art again.  All of them are so very great, but I like the weird Leela one the most. The coloring is just...great*! And you've really seemed to capture the right expression on both Fry and Leela's face on the last one. Perfect. You are perfect.

Zmithy: I'm glad you noticed the little details, like the nearly empty glass in the proposal-pic. It definitely makes those hours of work worth it.
Cookies? Hell yeah! But we don't have white choc chip in this boring country, but guess what I saw in the store recently? Jaffa cakes! By the way, did you get my e-mail? Gmail said it was sent, but I was puzzled because I think the attachments exceeded the 10 mb limit. Oh well, I could always re-send it.

Whoa...Becky, your artwork is just...whoa. I'm serious--I feel unworthy just being in this thread. Speaking as someone with very little artistic talent, I have to say that this is some of the best fanart I've ever seen. That has to count for something, right?

Anyway, I'm sorry that I'm just noticing this thread now, but I just had to check out what all the (totally justified and well-deserved) praise and whatnot was about. And now I see why everyone loves your stuff: 'Cause it's awesome.

I did this because I've always wanted to see Zoidberg eating an apple, swallowing it whole. So this is the result, although I'm not all that satisfied with it - I had trouble with getting the proportions right. I tried to fix them, but it still looks off...

As for the perfectionist streak.. well, I'm sure every artist gets that. It's a fine line between having the patience to get a piece of art just right, and being unsatisfied with it to the point where you never end up finishing it.

Hey, thanks, Becky. It's always great to hear someone's reading my stuff. Although I do feel kind of bad about veering the subject at hand away from your amazing artwork.

So, let's get back on track, shall we? This latest picture is just...wow. It's absolutely beautiful (that may be the first time that the adjective "beautiful" has been used in conjunction with Dr. Zoidberg, but there you go). Great job.

And yeah, Bergey, I was using 'artistic' in the sense of, y'know, drawing and stuff. But what's wrong with being self-deprecating ( )? The way I see it, you have to have a sense of humor about yourself. Otherwise people will think you're too uptight. And also that you smell bad. Why exactly that is, I don't know, but it's true, I tells ya.
