This is a bit off topic but not too much. I just went to see Pirates of Penzance a few days ago (great play by the way in case you haven't seen it) And of course during intermission, my mind started wandering and thinking about Futurama. I was thinking of Cap'n Skusting's Futurama Pirates and thought wouldn't it be cool to have the Futurama characters done up specifically like the characters in Pirates of Penzance? I even thought of who should play who: Bender as the Pirate King, Fry as Fredrick, Leela as Mabel, the Professor as the Major General, Smitty or Randy for the head police (can't remember what his name is) and either Hattie or Mom for Ruth. The only thing would be, how to have them identified as the characters from the play. Maybe do them up as pirates (like what's been done) and them put one of the verses from the play underneath their picture or something. Or even do up a mock up movie poster saying which Futurama characters will be starring in the play. I'm just kinda rambling ideas off in case anyone wants to go thru with them.

I'll keep it in mind for a possible "round two". In the meantime, you ought to check out Kif White's most excellent artwork of the gang as characters from Final Fantasy here. That's kinda along the same lines. Meanwhile, whatch this thread - Amy's coming soon....

I may have stated my age, but I claim nothing. My birthday is on the 21st. I share it with Phil Donahue, Jane Fonda, Barry Gordon, Samuel L. Jackson, Ray Romano, Joseph Stalin, Keifer Sutherland, Paul Winchell, and last but not least...Frank Zappa. I haven't done a racing water color in a couple years, but I do have a few that would be the next ones in line, if I ever get off my lazy butt to do them. They're extremely time consuming and tedious, but the results are worth it.

WOW! That teaser not only held what it promised, the finished picture is ... *can't think of any words* I'd say "awesome, awesome to the max!" but it would problably too little. Meh... I don't care about the celebreties... 20th is cooler (ok, perhpas not) I haven't done a racing water color in a couple years, but I do have a few that would be the next ones in line, if I ever get off my lazy butt to do them. They're extremely time consuming and tedious, but the results are worth it. I can believe that they need a lot of time and the right mood to be in. But they realy look fantastic, at least the ones you've shown here. The other ones you haven't shown may even be better. Big on all you work, Cap'n!!!

Wow, not too shabby! Especially Samuel L. Jackson, I'm a huge fan. Btw, why do they call him Samuel L. Jackson? How many other Samuel Jacksons are there!?
Your Amy and Robot devil are AMAZING! A lil random...but amazing nevertheless! And your Pirate Planet Express ship is even better! How do you get the reflection on the surface of the water?! Being a Brit, I don't know how old second grade is..any help?
