It really needs more pics of the characters. Unless i'm missing something each character only has three different poses. That's very limiting.

Well, everyone can have the code,
to have a direct link you just have to link
to this file: http://home.arcor.de/discoman/comic_maker/charak.swf

but if you download it and upload it onto your webspace it doesn't work properly,
because the background scenes will miss then,
anyone is allowed to link to the page or directly link to the file or put onto his/her site.
but if you want to upload it onto your webspace you have to contact me, so i can send you the installation files.

And the isn't a built in save function yet

Hmm,
just drag the characters with the mouse and move them onto the screen.
You see a quick help text in the middle of the screen when you move your cursor over a button.
It needs some time to understand all the functions
i think, do you want to know something special?
I guess i'll add a flashintern helpfile in the
next version.

=D

It's not bad, the backgrounds work well, but I think you need more character drawings.

Maybe tweeking the existing ones to show loads of different expressions would help? With comics the expression on the face is the most important thing...

It shouldn't take long to do, for example a face can be made 'sad' by closing the eyes slightly and moving the pupils a little lower.

I think there should be more character's positions to choose from, more backgrounds to choose from.

Can you write an instruction section, like after somebody draw the comic using your programme how to save it on the pc then transfer it into programmes like photo shop for final polish?

Haya,
@zmithy, thanks i'll try that out

@Mint, the will be more backgrounds and more characters in the later versions, and untill now
there is now flash intern save funtion, you have to hit "print" on your keyboard and then f.e. press Ctrl+V in Photoshop then you can polish the picture and save it.

and thanks JavieR, like your website the comicmaker is supposed to never die  ;)

HUYUY,
i haven't been here for half a year now i think,
but i'm still futurama fan and because of that i
worked on the comicmaker again, it's something around version 14 now. It has more than 100backgrounds now.

It gets easier and easier with the time,
and more options although.

I always planned to give the Futurama fans
the possibility to make comics very easily with the comicmaker and share them with the internet community

well, but it hasn't happend much till now,
it would be nice if i had a point to go on in creating the comicmaker further.

You could help me by the following things.
I made a Forum on the website where you can,
without having to register,
-Upload your Pictures, Comics and Comicpanels
-Read News and new features
-Post Bugs and Questions
-Submit Pics or Flashfiles for further comicmaker versions

I also thought about a weekly Comicmakerpanel Contest where every User submits one Comicpanel peer week and one winner is voted.
there could also be a Contest with at least 10comicpanels.

I also talked with JavieR about this Idea once.

I would be happy if some of you people would join, it wouldn't take so much time, but we would have some new funny pics of Futurama.

Viele Grüße
Bofr@

PS: the Webadresse is http://www.comicmaker.de.vu
there is also my first comicmaker attemp at the forum

Ah, this teh famous comic maker!!!!
I can't figure out how to modify the size of speech bubbles, I can stretch them, but it also stretches the text inside when what i'm trying to do is fit more text in the bubble. Do you just need to use multiple bubbles?
I will also have more questions to ask about the comic maker as I move along but this is my question for now. I can see that the comic has lots of features and I look forward to playing around some more and seeing what fun I can have with it.   :D
oh boy, I think i'm starting to sound a little zany... hmm

Well at this time you can't add in more text so you have to use more bubbles, but the newer version which is not released yet allready has more Speechbubbles for every use
