I've seen the movie waaay more times then that. The movie is so very filthy, but the songs are really good.

The songs are very hit or miss in the movie. While I like the Uncle Fucker song, and Kyle's Mom Is A Bitch, songs like Satan singing Up There were annoying. However, the more fucking swearing, the better.

Yeah, I think the only song I don't like in the movie is "Up There". It's funny and all, but it's not very catchy, or something you'd burn onto your mp3 cd like the others. La Resistance is probably my favorite song from the movie.

I think the songs in the Series 3 Christmas Special are better, especially Mr. Garrisons and the dreidel song.

They aired South Park: Bigger Longer & Uncut completely uncensored in 2002 on Aussie free-to-air TV. It was on at about 9:30pm. They only aired it once though, which sucks. Oh well, I've got it on DVD anyway.  :)

Also, while we're talking about songs, let's not forget Merry Fucking Christmas... even though Drunknmunky's already said it, I think it deserves another mention.

It has been shown on Channel Four here, I didn't watch it though as I have it on video. There is nothing too offensive in it, I've certainly seen films similar language on TV uncut.

Beamer, I have that exact version of South Park Movie on tape still, before I downloaded it (il/legally) from iMesh I used to watch it constantly, particularily the La Resistance Medley.
"Though they cut your dick in half,
And serve it to a pig.
And though it hurts you'll laugh,
And dance a dickless jig.
That's the way it goes,
In a war you're shat upon."
I have to admit I have seen the movie over 300 times, and I am not exaggerating in any way.

That would be a LesMis reference to the song "Can you hear the People Sing", I believe. And it made me laugh quite a bit.

Lemme just state:

"Courney Cox, I love you';
You're so hot,
On that show!"

What does Cartman say in that song?
is it, "Jews, They're stupid gay" or "Jews there stupid games"?

edit: and why is the Region 2 DVD of the Movie double sided, there dosn't seem to be any difference on either side?

"Jews, play stupid games
Jews, that's why they're lame."
That's the way I always figured it went.

I'm also quite fond of "Christmas Time in Hell".
"And there goes John F. Kennedy,
Caroling with his son,
Reunited for the holidays,
God bless us everyone!"

Has anybody seen the episode Cherokee Hair Tampons? The one part in that episode, when Stan asks Cartman very emotionally if he would donate a kidney to dying Kyle, and Cartman seems so very sincere at first, but then he suddenly unleashes a hilarious spout of cheerful dancing and singing,   "No no no no no no", in defiance and so delighted to be causing grief and frustration to another person.
I cant fully explain what was so funny about this scene, and it must be sounding pretty stupid to anyone reading this, but this is probably my favourite Cartman moment ever. I just thought I would acknowledge it here.

It was definetly a hilarious Cartman moment, and its hard to choose a favorite. But probably my 2 favorites are from South Park the Movie. The first is when Cartman sings a hilarious version of "Kyle's Mom" which kept the theater in stiches. And the other is at the end of the movie when Cartman eletricutes Saddam by cursing. Both are classics.

As noted in the mini-commentaries, Cartman's voice changed again after the Red Badge of Gayness. It sounded more southern, and sometimes it struck me as funny. Like in Trapper Kepper when Cartman says "Luckily I have my trapper keeper homing device". Just the way he says device cracks me up. I have no idea why.

I know it's more Matt & Trey-related than South Park-related, but still - there's a great article on Team America here. I'm really starting to look forward to this movie.   :)

Ha, that movie sounds awesome (also noticing some similar themes from SP:BLU, like that it stars a famous dictator and takes a shot at Alec Baldwin).  Also interesting that they take a shot at Michael Moore given the interview in "Bowling for Columbine".  Ah well, looks brilliant.  And if its a musical, I'm definetely in, since BLU had such great musical numbers.

Heh, Team America looks pretty funny. Swearing puppets with guns?
Anyway, Beamer's right. They take potshots at everybody, from the left and right. No one is spared. And as Beamer mentioned, they even target themselves in 'The Passion of the Jew'.

Heh, yeah that's true.  I'm just wondering if they have anything in particular against Moore despite the "Bowling" involvement.  Either way I guess we'll see, and I'm sure it'll be funny.

What political stance are they anyway? I've never been entirely sure and the last time it was discussed on PEEL I don't think it actually got anywhere.

Well they've identified themselves as Libertarians.  And there was an interview where they were asked that actually, and they both said "we hate conservatives but we really f***ing hate liberals".

Personally though, as a liberal I don't mind the bashing they sometimes do of us.  Its almost always funny, and in some cases its basically correct anyway in regards to certain celebrities (like the parody of Whoopie Goldberg).

@ Woodbot: Didn't CMIADS and CMISADS air yesterday night?

EDIT: Crap... Sorry, I should have re-read that...

Definately. Although I think that Proper Condom Use should have been at #4, instead of Timmy 2000. Cartman Joins NAMBLA should be in the Top 10, too. You have to remember that outrageous comes from the word "outrage" - and the way some people tend to use this word today really is misplaced at times.

I didn't think "The Jeffersons" was that controversial. Like the special Olympics and the Catholic church ones, this didn't take the typical controversial ideas

Comedy Central nailed them. All those episodes in the top 10 are pretty much all my favorite episodes in general anyway. Chinpokomon, Scott Tenorman Must Die, It Hits The Fan, Red Hot Catholic Love, Timmy 2000...the only one missing is Goobacks. How can you get much more outrageous than a giant gay orgy to protest illegal time travelers? How can you even get more outrageous than the idea of illegal time travelers at all?
