I'm almost sure this has been done before but for now, I'll vote for Scrubs.

Do you mean best show currently on TV, or best TV show ever?

If you mean the former, then I'd say Arrested DevelopmentScrubs would be a close second.

Out of the 9 shows listed, King of the Hill is probably the best (although The Simpsons is better if you only count the classic episodes).

However, there IS an Other option, so my vote goes to South Park. God, I love that show. It manages to make you think while insulting your intelligence at the same time.  :)

My other favourite show which ties with Futurama is South Park, so I'll definately say South Park.   :)

I love Angel (with it's whole, what 4 eps left? bah)... but for funnies right now, South Park is the place to go (and also it'll be around longer)... so 'other' for me.  :)

I can't believe nobody else has voted for 24 except me! That has to be the most addicting show ever. But, if you need a few laughs, I agree with SJM that South Park is the show to tune into.

Like SJM, I would go for South Park (were it in the poll). As it is I'll go for Scrubs. Not only is it great, but Dick van Dyke was in an episode of it. That puts it right up there on my "coolometer".

I'm not really into any of the shows on the list. I say other. My second after Futurama would have to be Dead Like Me.

I agree with 24, a great show that i need to catch-up watching Season 3 of, so no spoiling!

There are several British comedies missing from that list, but i suppose that's how it is. I won't vote "Other" because some polls, such as this, are almost made worthless by the inclusion of such an option. I'll vote 24 but there are comedies such as Blackadder that should probably get a mention. I guess they'll just stick in the "Best British Comedy" thread.

I have to say that the best show currently on tv is none other than Late Night with Conan O'Brien, with The Simpsons and Scrubs tied for a VERY close second place.  :D

"The Simpsons", only because it redeemed itself last season, but "Arrested Develoment" is a really close second.

Hey, I love half those shows mentioned... but most good British comedies and what not aren't actually on where I am, so I didn't count them. I went with South Park because it's a show I like that's actually still going.

Traitor.
And before anyone says anything, the other thread was higher, so i went to that first...
Same format as the previous
1. Awesome
2. OK
3. OK
4. What?
5. Crap.
6. What?
7. Never watched, on Win
8. What?
9. What?
10. Celebrity Deathmatch would be near the top.
But The Simpsons gets my vote, not as good as it used to be, but still one of the best things on TV.

Crap, I must have missed that before I voted.  But, to keep it in the family, I voted for HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm.  It's perhaps the balls-out funniest live action sitcom in quite some time.  Plus, most of the dialogue is improvised, which speaks for the talent. So many sitcom actors just plain suck.

Bah. You know I love the Simpsons. I always have. Though I still haven't forgiven it for the nose dive it took a few years ago. I enjoy the new South Park more then the new Simpsons.

So what?

So... buttons.  :p

The thread title implies "best TV show ever", not currently* on TV. Reason: in the title it says "Best Non-Futurama Show on TV", so he's telling us not to pick Futurama, and he wouldn't need to tell us this if he was talking about TV shows currently on TV, because Futurama is cancelled...

Going by this, I pick The Simpsons. Had it been about the best show currently on TV however, no way would I have picked The Simpsons...

Yeah, that's what I thought, but all of the choices listed are current shows.

Also:

So, it seems to be a poll about current TV shows.

If we were talking about the best TV show ever, I'd pick Homicide: Life on the Street.  If we are talking about current TV shows, I want to change my answer to Monk.  I still like Arrested Development and Scrubs, though.

Yeah, if you count reruns, just about any show could be called current, at least if you have cable.

Any show but Homicide, that is.   :(

In terms of cartoons, I also throw my vote in for Aqua Teen Hunger Force. As far as live-action goes, That '70s Show is the only one I watch anymore. The rest are basically crap, or get moved around too much for me to bother keeping track of them.

I'll think a bit outsie the box and say.... Six Feet Under.

Other than that there's Whose Line is it Anyway, funniest show ever, but the fact that it has no story makes it lose points (still love it with all my heart).

Six Feet Under kicks ass...

But I'm not sure if it's still on.
Returning season? I'll believe it when I see it...

Now, all you people can go join the moonies, or go to the actual moon, you fucking pyschos!

It's been a while since I saw that ep, so that quote is probably incorrect. Oh well.
