Here is a new forum to talk about films.  I am aware that there is a 'movie review' thread but this is different.  This forum is for talking about interesting trivia about films and that sort etc.  Rather then an actual 'review' or how good or crap the film was.

E.g. Magnolia, if u ever watch it, look out for the numbers '2' & '8' and their significance to the very ending.

This post is dedicated to my all time favourite hollywood sound-sample: The Wilhem scream. I have no idea of it's origins, only that it surely is the most commonly used scream sample of the past 30yrs. In Star Wars: A New Hope, listen to the stormtrooper that falls out of the walkway over the pit. Then listen to every major action film since then. You'll find it popping up all over the place. Twice in Kill Bill v-1, in the same fight scene. And you just know that was deliberate.   :D

Good Idea for a thread McNeil. When I next watch Magnolia I shall look for those numbers.

Interesting film trivia..... Bette Davis was originally considered for the role of Scarlett O'Hara in gone with the wind. She proved that she could play a Southern Belle very well in Jezebel.

Edit: The Wilhem scream was also used in all 3 Indiana Jones movies (not by Harrison Ford mind you).

Closed for deletion of off topic posts.

Reopened - This thread is to post interesting thing you've spotted in a film, it is not for posting reviews, it isn't for asking for information on new releases (use google for that) and it isn't for asking mods to close the thread  :nono:

I noticed during the matrix reloaded that during the fight scene with all the smiths, at one point, a random background smith hides behind a bench. He looks so stupid, see if you can spot him!  :D

Did You Know:
In Back to the Future, Eric Stoltz was originally supposed to be Marty McFly.

In Batman, You can see Tim Burton, the films director, as one of Joker's henchmen in the museum scene.

In Gremlins, the cute little one,Gizmo, was orignally supposed to turn into an evil one, but the director, Joe Dante, thought it would be too bad with the audience.

Also there's a sound effect I first heard in Mortal Kombat II, the baby crying (when you did a Babality) I've heard it in various TV shows and movies....I think I'm the only person who recognises it (and gives a toss)  :hmpf:

Did anyone notice Harry Knowles' severed head in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake?
I think he also shows up in Monkeybone.

Also in Batman, Harvey Dent (who turns into two-face in Batman Forever) was played by Lando Calrisian.
