I'd at least like more of the sitcoms that don't have the laugh track. That totally cheezes up the show, hence why my favorite shows include Futurama, Arrested Development, Simpsons, MITM...

FOX is trying to bring back the cheezy laugh track sitcoms but so far has fortunately failed miserably.

^True. It just ruins it, especially when the laughing goes on for a long time, when a joke wasn't even that funny.
And I am gonna give 'American Dad' a chance. (Like it'll make any difference...) As long as the show gets more consistent, it'll do fine.

American Dad is a mediocre follow up to Family Guy, I wish Fox could make another good show or bring back a great show like futurama, instead of all this reality TV bullsh*t

Hang on, I'm a little confused as to why you Americans are still complaining about Reality TV. Don't get me wrong, I fucking hate it too - but the Reality TV fad has really died down the past year... at least over here, anyway. Don't tell me it's still going strong up there?

It's been dying in America, but it's been a slow, drawn out death.  It's truthfully still holding strong, it's just not as big as a year or two ago.  I do think it's heading on it's way out, but it's still rather dominant on american television.  I think you guys just got sick of it faster then we are.  But it is dying at least, albeit kind of slowly.

We are the homeland of this cancer, it still writhes in agony here while in others it has long perished.

The scars still linger though, such as Big Brother and Idol, the only prime time reality tv we have left here in Australia.

*Exactly one month bump*

The sason premiere of AD, believe it or not, was the highlight of Animation Domination this week. It's getting better, and though some of you have stopped watching it, I think t's worth it (my time is worthless).

^My point exactly. This show just reminded me to give all shows at least a few episodes before I decide if I hate it or not. This episode was the best show in the entire two hours.

I agree with the above statements. When a show first stats out, it takes a few shows before the creators figure out how the show is going to be. The Simpsons and Futurama were this way, and American Dad is as well.

American Dad on sunday was okay. Family Guy is still the best. I was kinda disturbed about the whole 18 year old girl "sleeping" with a 58 year old kind of disturbing. Although, the shows best joke came from that premise.

Stan: "He was riding my back for three hours! Do you know what that's like?"

*Akward pause*

Stan: "Now I just lost my appetite!"

The fish is a wasted character now. The writers simply do not know what to do with him. The commentary stuff was a little funny, but it just felt a little forced.

I know I, like a lot of people, have taken potshots at American Dad since it began.  But still, I must admit that Patrick Stewart singing an Oingo Boingo song = Best thing ever.

Good. It only works with Seinfeld. But I'm thankfull that Arrested Development and Scrubs don't have tracks.

I love laughter tracks. It lets me know when I'm supposed to laugh. Otherwise I have to think for myself, which just plain sucks.

You make a good point, Alex. I mean, where would I be if my mother didn't write "FRONT" and "BACK" in clear, black letters on my underpants? Not in comfortable undies, I can tell you that.

Did anyone see the most recent AD from 9/18 with the masturbating issue?  It was actually hilarious.

I'm enjoying it more than Family Guy now.  It's got a good run of eps happening, and I hope that continues.

I have watched all the episodes, And I think it sucks. It should be replaced by a Futurama come back.

Should, but won't.

@Jay: Me too, while, this one wasn't as funny as the last one (I don't find), it was still good.

This weeks episode was better than last weeks in my opinion. I liked the convention nerd with the curtain rod lightsaber, and Stan as a nerd. "I'm telling the President on you!"  :laff:

This weeks episode, in my opinion, was the best out of the three cartoons on this Sunday. If American Dad can keep it's episodes to the quality of the last two weeks, and people give it a shot, it'll become a classic show. That is all.

By 2.0, I think he means new (as in since it was ressurected) as opposed to old/classic (season 1-3).

Yes, but it was cancelled and brought back at the 11th hour once before(between seasons 2 and 3) with a bunch of new writers.

That episode was brilliant anyway. Making an episode about a 40 year old man discovering masturbation for the first time was a truly funny idea.

I suppose that's not much different than Futurama and all its masturbatory-related euphonisms...like "Why Must I Be a Crustacean in Love" when the plot centered around Zoidberg getting rid of his "male jelly"...however I still dislike American Dad. i saw an episode a couple of weeks ago, where the liberal daughter sleeps with the guys boss? I am in no way of that party affiliation but I would be offended as it is portraying liberal people to be sluts...the truth is any part affiliation can be slutty...  :D

No woman can resist the sexxiness of Patrick Stewart.

Hell, I'd sleep with him and I'm not even gay.

Granted, my wife loves certain bald headed men - G. Gordon Liddy, Patrick Stewart, Steve Austin, etc.

Uh, I can't say that any man is good-looking enough for me to sleep with...
