Sorry, the topic is supposed to be "Friends Finale".  What did you think of it?  I thought it was really good.

It was OK.  I'm not a huge fan, but I watched it because I had nothing better to do.  <IMG SRC="http://peel.gotfuturama.com/ubb/tongue.gif">

I liked the scenario that was on Late Night last night -- the cast members are all killed by a chainsaw-weilding psychopath.  Did that actually happen?

No!  Of course not!

It was an axe-weilding psychopath.

Good Riddance, for once a show that deserves to be cancelled is gone.   Now if they could cancel Smallville, Malcom in the Middle and every reality show and they brought back Futurama, then TV would be cool again

Way to use every finale cliche in the book, Friends.  I give it ten stars...because it means no more stupid promos.

Friends finally became financially unviable.  How did it end?  All of them hugging at the stupid fucking coffee shop?

The only thing that would save that series is, on the final ep, Phoebe would snap and go on a killing spree ala "Meet The Feebles"

I guess that didn't happen.

TV has sucked for some time.  Reality shows lousy dramas and not funny comedies.  Shows like Futurama, South Park, Simpsons, Family Guy and classic TV shows are what I watch and they pretty much save TV for me. I'm more of a DVD viewer.

Well, tv has never been good overall.  It may seem like past generations of shows were better but they had their duds too.  For instance, the 1960's Batman show with Adam West was actually popular.

Anyways, that said, I'm glad to see Friends FINALLY leave the air for chrissakes.  Its seriously one of the worst tv shows of the past decade, maybe THE worst with that kind of success.

Yay! Friends is finished, I heard that they were gonna kill the crew off in a terrorist attack, can anyone confirm this as I might actually be inclined to watch this episode to end all episodes.

I watched it out of nothing better to watch. It was herrible. I haven't seen the show in maybe 3 years and everyone seemed to have become even worse actors, if that's possible. It was very hammy.

And since when is

It is because she realized that she loved him more than she would ever want a life in paris. That is how romantic it is.

For the end, I really wanted it to turn out that the whole series had taken place in Marcel the Monkey's imagination.  Now that would have been worth watching!

Blake's Seven had the best last episode of any series I've watched.

Since I've never watched an entire episode of Friends I'm not bothered that it is over.

I heard on the news (the actual, factual TV news, not some crappy entertainment news... yeesh) that they were planning on releasing the final episode on DVD next week... Anyhow, I didn't watch it, I think I only ever saw one episode fully, and judged it to be standard sitcom material.  Bye-bye show.

@Juliet: Er, no, check my post again I've never thought much of Friends, it seemed like a soap-opera in comedy form to me. I doubt I'll be watching the last episode.

Although it always seemed to me that the writers didn't know what to do with Phoebe. In the episodes I saw, she never did much except make jokes.

Well, the Federation catches up with them and kills them all. It's that last shot where Avon smirks at the camera that does it for me. But Blake is cool in it too.

What is wrong with you people?  Friends was awesome!  Not nearly as good as Futurama, mind you (nothing is/ever will be), but it was like my 2nd favorite show.  Anyway, the DVD of the 1st and last episodes will come out on Tuesday and they already made a new book that is a guide to all 276 or so episodes.  And I think that you misunderstood the "Couldn't Be Better" option.  That would be like a 5 out of 5 as in "it doesn't get any better".

The best line from Friends is when Rachel is trying to talk her sister, Jill out of sleeping with Ross and she says something like:
(Rachel)"You Don't want to try too much too fast Jill, I mean you do know what happened to the little girl who tried too much too fast don't you?"
(Jill)"No, what"
(Rachel)"She died Jill"

I never really watched Friends, I've seen maybe four whole episodes in its whole running, but while some jokes were good, a majority weren't funny at all.
Also I haven't seen the finale, not out yet in the good old A.U of S.

For you, perhaps. Other people's taste in comedy may differ vastly. Mine own, for example... just the thought of watching Friends inspires violent nausea...
