He was a great thinker a humanist and he was a gorgeous actor. Now he has died at the age 82 in Switzerland. His most memorable roles: Emperor Nero in "Quo Vadis", Hercule Poirot in the Agatha Christie movies or his roles in Topkapi and Spartacus.

He did a really cool show a few years ago where he traveled round the world following Mark Twain's trip.  He kicked ass.  Requiem in terra pax.

Wow, that's really sad.  The old man from Logan's Run is no more.

He was the Chancellor of our University and I was quite looking forward to receving my degree from him. Terribly sad to see him go...

RIP, Hercule Poirot and contributor to many a late-night chat show.  As well as the 1987 F1 Review video I have.
