I just saw Superhero Movie and I liked it.  It was pretty decent for a parody movie.  There actually was a plot rather than just dumb random jokes.

I'm afraid I'm not familiar with that particular appellation, Nixy Boy.

So if The Princess Bride could be classified as a parody (ie a fairytale parody) then it would be a winner on two counts, eh?

Actually, and perhaps rach_the_tall's encyclopedic knowledge of terminology would be useful here, *could* The Princess Bride be called a parody? Or is it more "in the style of" or even "a tribute"?

Would you call CB4 a parody? While its not (in my opinion) in the same league as, say, Blazing Saddles or Galaxy Quest, it was much better than I thought it would be and one of the funniest things I had seen in a long time (or, at least the first half was).

My favorite parody movie is "Galaxy Quest"; any movie that parodies "Star Trek" while being respectful is very cool.  Which is why I really enjoyed "Where No Fan Has Gone Before"...
