To anybody who has seen the remake of the original DOTD, what did you think?  How did it compare to the original?  Basically this is just an open forum for the new movie.

I personally loved it.  Not as much as the original, though.

I saw it opening night, and not having seen any kind of trailer for it, never even having heard of the original, just knowing it was a "remake", I had no idea it was a zombie movie. I get nauseous around blood so I was closing my eyes and keeping tense towards the beginning, but with my friends there, we made our commentary and I could deal with it by the end. I thought it was good, except for the ending. How sudden.

The original is hugely overrated, but its still good compared to the crap that hollywood puts out nowadays.

I'm not planning to see the remake, nor will I ever pay to see it. I have very negative views regarding this crime, and I'll be damned if I will have a rant about it in this doomed thread.

If you like the movie, have a praise-fest review in the film-review thread
