This is to eliminate the need for multiple "Top 5" threads. This thread will either really rock or really suck. Lets hope it's the former.    ;)

Here's mine...

Family Guy

1. “Wasted Talent”
2. “The King is Dead”
3. “E. Peterbus Unum”
4. “Fifteen Minutes of Shame”
5. “Death is a Bitch”

Futurama

1. “Jurassic Bark”
2. “Luck of the Fryrish”
3. “Why Must I Be a Crustacean in Love?”
4. “A Head in the Polls”
5. “The Farnsworth Parabox”

The Simpsons

1. “Mother Simpson”
2. “Cape Feare”
3. “And Maggie Makes Three”
4. “Kamp Krusty”
5. “Lisa’s Substitute”

South Park

1. “Simpsons did it”
2. “Raisins”
3. “A Very Crappy Christmas”
4. “Butt Out”
5. “It’s Christmas in Canada”

I never realised that there was a "need" for multiple "Top 5" threads that needed eliminating.

Indeed, I don't recall seeing that many "Top 5" threads to begin with, for any series.

Leelaholic, what episode do you mean by "Mr. Hankey Returns"? Is it "Chef's Chocolate Salty Balls" with the film festival, "A Very Crappy Christmas" where we see his family, "Mr. Hankey's Christmas Classics" with the holiday songs? I have a feeling you're referring to the second one.

EDIT: I've supplied short synopsis' which may jar your memory.

Futurama:
1. AOI I
2. Xmas Story
3. Parasites Lost
4. The Series Has Landed
5. I, Roommate

Simpsons:
1. Homer's Enemy (Frank Grimes)
2. You Only Move Twice (Hank Scorpio)
3. Black Widower (Bob marries Selma)
4. Last Exit to Springfield (dental plan)
5. Brother From Another Serries (Cecil and Bob)

South Park:
1. Not Without My Anus (the Terrance and Philip episode)
2. Jewbilee (Kyle and Kenny at Jew Scouts)
3. Cat Orgy (Shelley babysits Cartman)
4. Butt Out (Rob Reiner tries to ban smoking)
5. Cherokee Hair Tampons (Kyle needs a kidney transplant)

Invader ZIM:
1. Backseat Drivers From Beyond the Stars (ZIM pilots the Massive to Earth)
2. Abducted (two idiotic aliens abduct ZIM)
3. Door to Door (ZIM tries to sell candy)
4. Megadoomer (Irken cloaking can cloak ZIM's massive robot, but not him)
5. Halloween Spectacular of Spooky Doom

The Critic:
1. Sherman of Arabia (Jay's Gulf War fiasco)
2. A Little Deb Will Do Ya (Margo reluctantly goes to the debutant ball)
3. Siskel & Ebert & Jay & Alice (Siskel and Ebert want Jay to be their new partner)
4. Eye on the Prize (Jay gets a second Pulitzer prize)
5. Pilot (Jay dates up-and-coming actress Valerie Fox)

Eh, probably "A Very Crappy Christmas". Thanks, Shadowstar. I don't know a lot of those titles.

Futurama
1. "Time Keeps on Slippin'"
2. "The Sting"
3. "The Why of Fry"
4. "The Day the Earth Stood Stupid"
5. "Bendin' in the Wind"

Numbers 1 and 2 were just terrific, particularly the Globetrotters in TKOS and the shippiness and really unique plot in "The Sting". Three and four are basically the same thing, but "The Why of Fry" comes before TDTESS because it finally cleared up a number of things that had been hinted at in the pilot and other episodes. "Bendin' in the Wind" just has to be the best Bender episode ever.

The Simpsons
1. "Lisa's Substitute"
2. "Lisa's Wedding"
3. "HOMR"
4. "Deep Space Homer"
5. "My Mother the Carjacker"

The first two sort of had the same underlying "Homer loves Lisa" subtext, as did "HOMR". "Deep Space Homer" was just a great episode. And,a bit surprisingly, a season 15 episode made the list.

The Critic
1. "Sherman, Woman, and Child"
2. "Lady Hawke"
3. "Every Doris Has Her Day"
4. "Dr. Jay"
5. "A Little Deb Will Do Ya'"

All were fantastic episodes.

Now, "My Mother the Carjacker" is a spectacular episode and I love it to death, but top 5? That means you think it's better than the uberbrilliant "Mother Simpson"!

Also, "HOMR" was good for a Scully episode, but, once again, top 5?? Don't get me wrong, I like the episode (In fact, it's my third favorite Scully work after "Hungry, Hungry Homer" and "Trilogy of Error" ), but there are so many IMO superior ones!!

Still, it's your opinion.   :)

Yes, that's right.  It's her opinion, and she doesn't need you arguing with it.

See, this is why people don't like you.  Anytime someone posts an opinion about The Simpsons that you don't agree with, you respond as if it's a personal attack or something.

Lighten up.  Not everyone is going to like the same episodes that you do.

I was just posting my opinion. I didn't mean it as a personal attack and I even tried to be nice with that "it's your own opinion" part (complete with smiley face, may I add!!)

I was trying to be good. Please don't criticize. My flaming days are long behind me, I assure you.  :D

"HOMR" was a decent episode that seemed really good at the time due to it being surrounded by crap.  To be honest the "emotion" in that episode wasn't really that well done, even if the humor was infact generally good.

Simpsons:
1. Lisa's Substitute
2. Lisa's Wedding
3. Bart the General
4. Last Exit to Springfield
5. Cape Feare

Futurama:
1. Jurassic Bark
2. Luck of the Fryrish
3. Roswell That Ends Well
4. Godfellas
5. Where No Fan Has Gone Before

I might do Twilight Zone and South Park (from what I've seen of those two shows) later, but I don't have lists offhand.  Haven't seen The Wonder Years in WAY too long, otherwise I'd probably do a list.
