No, you're not. You're just the only one who thinks Jack Torrance is more homicidal than, say, the Joker or Norman Bates.

Well, its one of the only legimately creepy horror movies I've ever seen.  And it still contains a pretty hilarious scene (the bathroom sequence with the ghost that turns into a weird monster thing).  But every horror movie has a token scene that's hilarious, its just that, unlike The Shining, most horror movies are hilarious the whole way through.

Sideshow Bob, of course, is hilarious and a great homocidal creep (as if that's a good thing).
On the note of The Shining though, it is a truly creepy film (like many other Steven King books- turned-movies).
And, on the note of Steven King, who here plans on watching his new show (who's name escapes me at the moment) on ABC?

For reference the Joker looked like thet because of acid burns. The Batman comic have lots of good villains with cool names e.g. Hush, Mr. Zsasz...

A sequel eh? Makes you wonder what it would be like....

Actually, Hollywood knows what will sell. We're the ones who make the mistakes by supporting every cheap sequal to a great film that Hollywood makes.

There was already a sequel to the original Japanese version of The Ring.  But the American sequel will not be based on it.

I haven't been too impressed with what has been called the new wave of Asian horror movies, but someone is because they keep remaking them.  Look next for The Grudge, a remake of the 呪怨 (Ju-On) movies with Sarah Michelle Gellar, which will actually be directed by the same guy who did the Japanese versions.

It's only good if you're into absurd gore. I didn't like it. The music for one, was one of the most horrible things about the movie.

Go see Battle Royale first.
