Neon genesis is well and truley a 3d show.
Its not comedy. He has an excuse for being an asshole.

Master Shake is definitely the shit. He has a knack of blaming everyone else except himself and he also has a seldom used gift within cartoon characters of really believing what he says (e.g. books are from the devil and TV is twice as fast). And he has a way with words, too.

You know, I think evey joke in that show was at the expense of Shinji's penis.

Anyway, I say my vote still stands, Ikari is animated, therefore he can be considdered a cartoon, who's also an asshole.  May I also add that Ranma Saotome's attitude has always stroked me the wrong way.
