I agree with Futurama, nothing else on that list interests me one bit. Also, i don't think Simpsons could pull off a movie.

I'm not sure about new episodes, but a Futurama movie would be nice. It would be great if The Simpsons could get their DVDs out faster. At this rate, we might have all the seasons by 2015! Invader Zim needs some reruns and DVDs... and new episodes.

If they keep running like this, it could be longer, but don't worry. I'm sure your DVDs will be the hit of the retirement home.  ;)

They probably could get them out faster if they'd stop manufacturing pointless crap like Homer soap-on-a-rope and Ralph Wiggum lingerie.

Outlaw Star - Yes, the storyline that began in the first episode concluded in the last episode; but a new series with the same characters could certainly be made.  After all, the crew did all decide to stick together afterwards.

The Big O - When I watched the original thirteen episodes it never really bothered me that that was all that there was, even with the cliffhanger ending of episode thirteen.  After seeing season two however, I now want a third season to be made.

Actually, the DVDs are coming out so slowly is because the people are busy making the show, and doing the DVD commentaries cuts into their show-making time. When the show goes off the air (hopefully soon), they'll produce them faster probably. Notice how quickly the Futurama ones came out, since they weren't working on it anymore.
Also, speaking of good cancelled cartoons, Angry Beavers and Rocko need DVD releases.

Agreed, especially on the DVD part. Sure some people think the movie might not work, but it couldn't ruin the series anymore than it is now...

Also, I don't want anymore Futurama eps, but a trilogy of Futurama movies would be most cloolsome

Apparently They recorded simpsons season 3 commentaries in the lunch hour from making the serires, although to be fair its only al jean mike reiss and matt groening that making and doing commetaries, and al jean is probably the only significant one.

I'm sure something will come up when its david mirkins and a lot of season 5 and 6 writers will return to the show turn david mirkin will probably take over as showrunner again for seasons 17-18 which'll make the commentaries take ages to do again.
and I read in an al jean interview he expects simpsons will go to 20 seasons and then in a couple of years after that they'll do a movie

Futurama - new episodes

The Critic - new episodes (it's not like Jon Lovitz is overloaded with work)

Darkwing Duck - a DVD-release (come on Disney, one of your best shows the last couple of decades, it deserves it, in fact after "The Little Mermaid 2" and other crimes against humanity you owe us)

DS9 - A movie (no CK, Voyager doesn't deserve one    :p )

@Teral - I'd leave DS9 where it is.  Any movie would most likely be in the "capable" hands of Brannon "I can't believe I get to boff Jeri Ryan every night!" Braga.  :hmpf:

Futurama - a movie, rather than new eps.

The Simpsons - put out of it's misery.

Star Trek: Enterprise - Hoshi in the decon shower.  Rubbing stuff onto that blonde military chick.

Newsradio - PCC to show the remaining two seasons.

Friends - Phoebe's bra, wait a minute, we DID see that...

Frasier - A 12th season, so it's finale won't be eclipsed by the media frenzy surrounding the Friends finale.

Stargate SG1 - The return of Apophis, the Wile E. Coyote of sci-fi villainy.

Doctor Who - Please, don't let Antony Stewart Head be the Doctor.  The show's going to be staggering under the weight of comparisons to the original series without being compared to Buffy as well.

Angel - Harmony and Eve, well, you know...

F1 coverage - The BBC win back the TV rights and put James Allen on the scrapheap, along with his frightening array of dire catchphrase attempts.

I forgot to list mine earlier.

Dilbert
Gary and Mike (dammit, I hate series finale cliffhangers!)
Duckman (see above rant)
Undergrads (why the hell was this cancelled in the first place?)

Yes, I know Comedy Central re-runs all the shows I've just mentioned in the middle of the night, but IMO they all deserve more eps.

Yeah, I don't want to see Head as the Doctor either.  I have nothing against the guy, but I don't want Buffy comparisons.  His character on Buffy was even compared to the Doctor while it was on.  But mainly, I just don't like Buffy and want to hear as little about it as possible.  What is the obsession with Buffy anyway?  Remember when SFX did a poll of the greatest sci-fi/fantasy characters, and four of the top nine were from Buffy?  (There were more than ten Buffy characters ranked overall.)  It just wasn't that good, certainly not good enough that every SF/fantasy show or movie has to be compared to it.

And while I'm wishing, I'd like to see a new show based on Babylon 5 (which was far superior to Buffy).  I doubt they'd try to continue either of the previous two attempted spin-offs, but I'm sure JMS has more ideas.  He said he'd wait until the new Star Wars movies were over before thinking of a theatrical movie, so maybe there'll be some movement on that soon.

How dare you take my clever and thought out post, only to put an emoticon on the end of it! Bastardo!

We need new episodes of Zim, The Critic DVDs, new Futurama episodes (duh), and maybe a new sitcom starring Tony Danza and John Stamos. That'd be one sitcom promising hilarity. Probably of the ensuing kind.

I can't believe some of you people say you don't want more Futurama episodes.  Screw a movie, I'd take more episodes over that any day.  Of course, at this point anything new would be a miracle.

More Invader Zim would be good too.  Is this DVD that's supposed to come out have all the episodes on it?  I haven't seen most of the eps. and would gladly buy the DVD to see them.

Futurama-new episodes and/or movies

Family Guy- maybe new episodes

The Simpsons-faster release of these dvds already.

Oh, and for the record ending the show would NOT get the dvds out faster.  Al Jean is really the only one holding up the recording of the commentaries, and they won't need him much at all after season four (not until season 13 that is). And anyway, if you can't find six hours in an entire year to do commentaries you probably need to schedule your time better. Plus, these things are recorded way before the dvds come out, and it doesn't really make sense that they take so long to come out.  Season three's commentaries were recorded roughly around the winter of 2002/2003 (mostly on the 2002 side I believe), so that doesn't quite translate into an August 2003 release.  I think the ultimate reason these are taking so long is that Fox wants to drag out the sales of each set as much as they can.

A Simpsons movie I don't want to see, and never have wanted to see.  That's not so much a statement about the current quality of the show as it is a statement about The Simpsons' structure.  Futurama has enough of an "epic" quality in some episodes that it could work as a movie, but The Simpsons has always just worked better as a 22 minute show.  Just look at the closest example to a movie we've had so far, the 44 minute "Who Shot Mr. Burns" two parter.  The first half is great, and I like the second half too, but by the second half it already seems like they're straining to make it work for the full 44 minutes.  Unless they get a really good plot a 90 movie is going to feel even more strained.

The SFX poll was garbage.  I mean, first place was shared between eight people...  ;)

Okay, that was the funny answer, now for the real one.

In ANY opinion poll of that type, people will vote for the show that's freshest in their minds, which in 2002 was Buffy.  A few years ago, Babylon 5 was THE sci-fi show, and would easily have won such a poll.  A couple of years before that it was The X-Files, a couple of years before that it was Star Trek: The Next Generation.

(As for the Doctor getting first place, now those are fans who know how to vote en masse:))

I like the lonegunmen. And Zim. I think it rivals futurama in popularity. But it doesnt get talked about much because its too weird  :D

I dont want to see new futurama eps or a movie.

I've come to terms with the end. To see it ressurected now with a theme that I assure you, will be geared towards a mainstream audience and not the spirit of the show would be pretty painful.

They are making a sequel to the mask. I hope futurama's memory remains unsullied.

The Lone Gunmen was so brilliant! But I rarely got around to watching any episodes since TV2 aired them at 3-4am or something like that. But the few I did see were great. Especially the one with the football team for blind people. Of course there was a conspiracy involved... And Langley wore a KoRn t-shirt just like mine in that one.
