pfft, simpsons is not too enteraining to me anymore, old ones or new ones.

family guy has some cheap jokes, but it's fun to watch.

Anyway, I'd take FG over Simpsons seasons 10-12, but, compared to Simpsons seasons 1-8 and 13-15, Family Guy is Fam-meh-ly Guy.

I never found renaming things to be funny or witty (Family gay, Gaystation, Lamecube etc.). I always found it kinda lame.

I have a friend who's gay and doesn't mind it a bit, especially considering it's usually a teenager calling something that they consider "bad" gay. 85% of kids think being gay is "gross", even the majority of us as kids thought that, but we all grew up to learn to be more accepting. Besides gay doesn't even really mean homosexual, much like bitch, it's a word that meant something else (happy) and ended getting twisted up into a whole different meaning.

New Simpsons sucks, Family Guy is good.
I'm going to vote for Family Guy, it's not as good as the old Simpsons, but at least it's more watchable than the Simpsons is now.

I never found it offensive, even if it did make fun of my religion at points, but I never take any of it seriously, (also in this case, I'm not religious) so that's why it's great for laughs. :P

Simpsons, although they are dipping in quality lately. Family Guy is funny though. But the Simpsons was revolutionary in the beginning.

oh man, i hear that. it seemed they couldn't go 2 minutes without a flashback/cutaway. the last season they eased up a bit, but season 2 was awful.

i could never warm to peter griffin, he seemed just to be malicious and only redeemed himself for the sake it. homer/bender are truely sorry when they realise they've been bad. peter just seems to a total tool. the main reason i watched the show was for stewie and brian. now those two should get their own show

I'd have to say Simpsons. With Al Jean as show-runner, the show is starting to get better (Ex: The President Wore Pearls, My Mother the Carjacker, Diatribe of a Mad Housewife).

I grew up with the Simpsons (I was 9-10 when it started, not quite growing up but) and I've loved it all the way through....Only recently, say Seasons 14-15 I've started to really dislike it....just not funny anymore....

Family Guy I've also loved from day one, yeah there's a lot of cutaway jokes but I think that's one of it's strong points....Stewie is brilliant and Peter is hell funny....
It's offensive, crude and un-realistic and I love it....

Seconded. Nothing can better golden age Simpsons, not even Futurama. But Family Guy is so surreally wonderful and random. Really, you have to laugh when a giant red jug leaps through the wall shouting 'oh yeah!' at a completely inappropriate moment or when Peter does battle with a giant chicken for a ridiculously long period of time. It's probably the only show that's made me cry tears of laughter. Any show that can hit the mark with its gags so consistantly deserves to be renewed and I can't wait for its return.

The Simpsons is much more of a classic show - but I just find Family Guy to be a lot funnier, especially when compared to the horrid standards of The Simpsons over the past few years.

Family Guy is better than all of the Simpsons episodes since 200, but the old (1992-1997) Simsons are better than a lot of Family Guy episodes. But Pat Buchanan is funner than The Simpsons and Family Guy combined.

I've been watching Simpsons less and less as time goes by (been watching that more, actually) because of how low the quality has gotten, but I still can say that it's better than Family Guy. Even after all this time, Simpsons is still able to keep their characters' personalities strong and beautiful. I've watched a grand total of six episodes of Family Guy and I still have no idea what the mom, son, and daughter's personalities are. The few characters that actually symbolize something are still rather bland. (this is with the exception of Stewie)

Persoanly I would choose the Simpsons, because i never really got into watching Family guy even know I have all the episodes.
