Didn't you notice that at least half of the threads were movie threads? 2. This isn't just a thread about the Evil Dead movies. It's a thread about Bruce Campbell. That means we can discuss "The Adventures of Brisco County Jr.", "Xena", "Jack of All Trades", and any other shows Bruce Campbell has been on, in addition to his films. So, as long as we're on the subject: are there any other PEELers who are fans of "Brisco County", or am I the only one?

Grateful Dead? No, Evil Dead that crazy horror movie that is hilarious or whatnot... Yeah it seems Campbull and Sam Rami or whatever his name is like to work together a lot, I was looking at stuff and I think Sam helped create Hercules and Xena both of which Bruce was on... I have watched Brisco County Jr., but it's been a long time. As I recall it wasn't a half bad show about a mcgyver like character in the old west... mcgyver like in that he could come up with solutions pretty fast. I've watched an episode or two of Jack of all Trades too, but it basically got off the air before it could take off I guess.

Still waiting for Bubba Ho Tep to come out. I hope it does soon because I have really been wanting to check it out. I hope it's not just an independent film.

Jack of All Trades was like Hercules or Xena, but set in the Napoleonic era. It was okay, but it wasn't Campbell's best work. On the other hand, The Adventures of Brisco County Jr. was one of my favorite shows of all time. In fact, the only reason that I started watching The X-Files was because it came on right after Brisco County. Originally posted by Wu: Bruce Cambell rocks. I am very tempted to get his auto biography "If chins could kill: Confessions of a B movie star". I haven't read that yet, but a friend of mine has, and he really liked it. Of course, he's an even bigger fan of Bruce Campbell than I am, so he may be somewhat biased.

Brisco County was great. It was on the same night as X-Files, and both shows started in the same year. Both also got horrible ratings, but only Brisco was canceled, though I liked it a lot more. I hope they do a DVD set.
The Evil Dead movies are also great. I saw Evil Dead II first, but Army of Darkness is probably my favorite. (And I saw them both before they were cool, too!) But the Laserdisc/DVD of Evil Dead II has the best commentary I've ever heard.
And Campbell's book is good too. If you buy it, be sure to get the more recent version, since it has an extra chapter about the book tour he did when the book first came out.

Campbell's book is hilarious, with a lot of great pictures. This guy always cracks me up. And lest we forget the cameos. One in particular spawned a horrifying[ly sexy] fanfic I found... Guess and you get a cookieand a terrifying sense of shame.. Anyway. He was great in Xena. I'll never forget the one where Xena 'posessed' his body and while doing so kissed Gabrielle. Well, a couple of years ago I actually met Bruce Campbell and he was hilarious and just - a god! Hail to the king indeed. It also involved him 'crashing' on one of the other stars talks by putting on a crazy beard, mac and scottish accent along with Ted Raimi, sitting behind me and generally taking the piss out of who was on stage. My my.... whatta chin.

I saw Army of Darkness the other day on AMC.
Also, for all you Campbellites out there, you can catch him on USA's Burn Notice on Thursdays at 10pm. It's a action/comedy series, and Bruce is very good in it.
