So the new dick on PEEL has to be an Aussie. Great. That'll help us keep up our crap reputation.

Smart move from Channel 10 in my opinion to stop showing Sunday night movies.

You guys remember Eric Bana had his own show for a while....? Didn't last too long but they've released the 13 eps on dvd....I was thinking of getting it....it was quite good from what I recall....and it had good old Poida....!  <IMG SRC="http://peel.gotfuturama.com/ubb/smiley_laff.gif">

i completly disagree.  I mean there's enough of those law and order and criminal intent shit on through the wk, why should we be subject to more, i would much rather watch a movie that a TV show on a Sunday night.

I mean its not my fav genre of TV show, but there is like 6 Law and orders, Criminal intent, CSI, CSI miami, NCIS and thats just to name a few, one or two's not bad, but there is like 20 spin off shows, the lastest is CSI New York.   whats next cross programing, CSI meets law and order?

I say bring back the biff!...i mean Sunday night movies! who's with me?

p.s. to the pokemon wanker, don't post anymore pokemon shit on this forum, its a shit show, and ur a dickhead for liking it!

There are 3 law and order's. SVU, normal and criminal intent. Each show is a different way of looking at the justice system. All 3 are great shows. I like Normal CSI but I agree that miami is crap. Whos with you? No one, fool. Go over to seven and watch fucking deuce bigalo already.

Gleno: Yeah, it was great.

I've heard all the Big Brother promotional rubbish, but I'm yet to stumble upon the show- I've been watching DVDs more than TV recently anyway.

Erm, moving swiftly along - did anyone see The Glass House on Friday? Molly Meldrum was on it. He always cracks me up when he's on that show - I've seen him on it twice now, and both times he just pretty much made gay jokes about himself.  :)

Ugh. I fucking hate Kath & Kim... along with every other Australian comedy released in this millenium so far (besides The Glass House & Merrick And Rosso Unplanned).

I just don't get it... Aussies are funny people. We've released plenty of hilarious movies (The Castle springs to mind here)... so why are there so many lame Australian 'comedies' on TV at the moment?!

Firstly, I agree 100% that The Castle is great.

But, what Aussie comedies are there on TV at the moment? Besides the rubbish sketch comedy shows (is Skithouse the only one left?), I can't think of any.

Well, we were just talking about Kath & Kim then, which is a comedy... apparentally. There were a few bad ones last year (such as Big Bite and Comedy Inc), which don't appear to be coming back.

Hmmm... maybe "at the moment" wasn't such a good phrase to go with. Well, you get what I'm trying to say, anyway. We've had lots of great Aussie comedy shows in the past (such as Full Frontal), but they're becoming a lot more rare now.

i was in the audience for Glass house once (<- is it just me or does that word look stupid?)

Merrick and Rosso was really funny this week, the payed those christians out good, may be going to the series fianl of that on sat  :),

anyone in the sydney area go and see "in our name" at the Belvoir? cause Dennis Denuido from the castle was in it.

I liked the Russel Gilbert show (I believe it was called Russel Gilbert Was Here, but I'm not 100% on that). It was so stupid that you just had to laugh.  :p

I do have to agree with the 'Shit Aussie comedy today' idea. Although I do like the thing with the self-obsessed art teacher. I'm not sure what comedy show it's on though. 'Big Bite', I think.

I know this is the Aussie TV thread, but what do y'all think about Peter Garrett's entrance into the world of politics? To me it seems like a potential sellout on his part, but as long as he stands firm and doesn't compromise his morals in order to follow the party line, it could be a positive move. I have nothing but cynicism for the ALP's motives though...
