Kid Notorious

I happen to love the quirky british humor aspects of the program (especially English) and I wanted to know if you all felt the same or if you have any other opinion on the show.

It's the new animated show on after "South Park." It's about real-life movie producer Robert Evans and his "wacky and interesting" life. It's not that great, from what I've seen. Pretty bland and non-descript, IMO.

Except for this line: "Alright, who got my cat high?"

The cat kicks ass on the show, but this is the kind of impenetrable Hollywood-insider joke that critics, who are Hollywood insiders, always think is funny, and nobody else likes.  And I hate cats.

I'd might have given it a chance if Futurama hadn't spoiled me with its glorious computer-drawn animation and 3D visuals. Sometimes it's almost painful for me to watch old, cel-painted episodes of the Simpons. It's like I feel embarassed for them or something.

Not that I hate the old (read: good) seasons of Simpson's episodes; it's just that Futurama has raised the TV animation bar so high...

He produced "The Godfather" and "Godfather II". But not III. He wouldn't come within a mile of that shit, as he said so bluntly.

And yeah, the show sucks. I watched the whole first episode waiting for the funny parts. I'm still waiting.

I hate some cats and like others.  I like those cats that snuggle up with you all the time and like being petted and like to be picked up and hugged.  I hate those snotty cats that scratch you when they're tired of being petted and think they can do whatever they want to do.  So I don't actually hate all cats, for me it just depends on the cat itself.

Evans wasn't the producer of those movies, but he was head of Paramount when they were made (it was his idea to turn the book "The Godfather" into a film in the first place).  HE also green-lighted tons of other popular films like Rosemary's Baby, Love Story and Harold & Maude.  He resigned to become a regular producer in the late 70s, and was the producer of Roman Polanski's Chinatown.  There's a really good documentary on his career called "The Kid Stays In The Picture" if you can find it.
