Well, it's less than a week to go before the third and final chapter of The Matrix hits the big screen. I'm not sure when it comes out state side, but in the UK it's November 5th. Anyway, I've been really looking foward to seeing this for months and months now, and I can't wait! I have high expectations for this film, or at least, I had high expectations for it.

I've been reading some reviews on the net, from people who've seen pre-airs, and it's not sounding to encouraging  :hmpf: I found this following in depth review on 'Aint it Cool News'...

After reading that, and quite a few other reviews saying much the same thing, I'm severely disappointed. But I'm not one to judge something before giving it a fair chance, and I'm still really looking foward to seeing it. I just hope the reviews aren't right about it being all high budget eye candy and barely any plot or characterisation...

You're right that writing sets me up for disappointment.  I loved the first movie though, and the second movie disappointed me a little.  I figured the third might be better than the second since it would finish the story instead of being in between, but it's not shaping up good.  I WAS insanely into seeing the sequel last year, but my hopes will not be raised to tsunami status for this one, I'll go see it though and pass final judgement then.  Who knows with such low expectations this time, maybe I'll get something better than I would have thought...

I'm not looking forward very much to Revolutions, maybe because I was kinda disappointed with Reloaded. It will be interesting to see how it ends though.

Yeah I gotta admit, I'm seriously looking forward to the final installment. But that review really didn't sound that good at all. But thats just one person's view. He's entitled to it entirely, but every single person on this planet is different. I'm sure not all people are gonna be dissapointed with it. Its all a matter of opinnion. I'm trying not to take the reviews to heart so much. I might really like it. Like I said, its all a matter of opinnion at the end of the day  :)

Is that news? It never has had a proper storyline, just one that is full of "meaning of life" nonsense. Was a decent film for the effects though.

The second one had an imaginative shortfall, it was never going to be as good as we expected it to be, because the weight of expectation was so great.

I re-viewed the second one again on DVD and didn't think it was that bad (also alongside the first one, it's about the same, script-wise - there's the same amount of bollox spoken in the first as the second.)

So, I'm going to see Revolutions, and I'm not expecting anything other than to see the end of the story.  That's it.

PEOPLE ARE BATTERIES!

Anyways, I think the eye candy in the second wasn't the same as the first, I'm not into Neo and Agent Smith turning into cartoons :\

Plus there was crap just thrown into the 2nd one... Can anyone say Dance party scene?

okay it's like this. the matrix has built up such a huge immence following, its unbelieveable. this film just like the second can and will be slated by 90% of the the people who see it. but they will still part with their hard earned pennies to see it again, at the cinema and to buy it on dvd. everyone's a critic. you will all come out of the film and be dissapointed. But i bet that the majority of you will see it again, be it at the cinema, or on dvd or whatever. The matrix cant win in making you believe it was a good film, but it can win by sheer addiction. its like herion in film, i tell yeh!

and no i hav'nt read the review. id ont wanna spoil it.
