This is what I thought.

Given the life span of the other Kill Bill threads, I'd say this one's doomed.

Any film that has a hot chick riding a motorcycle with a samauri sword has to be a great movie...now I just cant wait for vol. 2.

Again, with reasons I posted in the dead thread, which were ignored, I declare this thread

If that independent movie with Bruce Campbell, playing a guy who believes he's Elvis, can gets it's own thread, than certainly Kill Bill deserves one. What's the point in a movie/tv forum if we can't start threads about specific movies?

It's a great movie. Definitely a five star, and perhaps Lucy Liu's first good movie.

Is there vampires and explosions in it?

It's not out here yet but I'll see it on my own if I have to!

I saw it last night at the Empire cinema in London. It was incredible! The audience was cheering all the way through. I thought it was bold, graphic, funny, and totally unforgetable. I have to say that some scenes were a bit long especialy the sword choosing/recieving scene. But everything else was great. I jumped so hard in the opening scene when Bill shoots the Bride. My favourite part was the showdown at the house of blue leaves. Especially the ball and chain fight! Well done Quentin, bring on part 2!

"Revenge is a dish best served cold"

"Do you find me sadistic?"

"My name's Buck, and i'm here to F***"

Oh I nearly forgot. What a brillaint soundtrack too!"

I can't wait to see it! But, son of a bitch, nobody else wants to see it, or they keep blowing me off. And I can't go see a movie by myself, I'm funny like that. Anyway......the bastards. THE BASTARDS!!!

I can't see it because it's R-18+ here in Australia which means it's restricted to persons under 18 years of age.... crap

What about Payback?  I'm willing to bet that movie, which seems right up Tarintino's alley, got Liu her part in Kill Bill.  Otherwise, I agree with everything you said.  It's a VERY brilliant movie.

5 stars. I loved everything about it. I even ran out and bought the soundtrack after watching it. *wink wink* I was of course rooting for Lucy Liu. Even if they hadn't given us a reason to feel sorry for her/like her, I'd still want her to kick Uma's ass.    :)

Charlie Brown!!    :D

Speli, shoo! You know damn well if Stephen Hawking had a movie out, you'd trip over your own feet racing to your computer to start a thread about it.    :p

Faze, no vampires, but Uma drives a truck called "P*ssy Wagon" :| That's better than vampires, right? (I'd say more here, but I don't wanna spoil it for ya.)

I haven't seen it but I want to at some point, no doubt when it is on DVD, as I don't live near a cinema.

I saw it--and it was good. I don't see why they're not putting out volume 2 for a WHOLE YEAR when it's already made, but que sera sera. There were little kids in the theatre! I'd rather take a little kid to see a PORN FLICK than this movie. And then the rugrats were talking about how they'd like to be like those girls in the movie in the bathroom later! Any parent who takes a child to see this movie should be thrown in jail!!

I, however, am an adult, and it is my sacred right to enjoy blood squirting from decapitated heads and disembowled perverts. Uma Thurman is cool. I hope she guts Bill like a fish. (No I'm not giving anything away--you know she's not gonna complete the mission of the movie title when it's a two-parter!!!!!!)

Loved it.  Wish I was a petite Asian girl so I could be Go-Go Yubari for Halloween.

Also, awesome soundtrack.  I actually went straight from the cinema to buy it and was told they hadn't gotten any copies in yet.  sigh.

Actually part 2 is scheduled for release early 2004. I pretty sure it's Febuary (don't quote me on that though). So fear not, Bill will be killed soon enough.  :)

I just seen it! What a kick ass movie. So much blood and violence. I need to learn how to fight with a samurai sword. And yes, it does come out in February, the 20th to be exact.

Whoa.

Never have I gone into a theater with so many expectations, only to have the movie neatly sidestep all of them and still deliver a thoroughly entertaining and satisfying experience. As many reviewers have said, this movie plays with your expectations of what rules a movie follows (chronology, consistent style, soundtrack, etc.).

I was impresssed by this movie. It makes me want to see the rest of Tarantino's flicks that much more! This will probably be one of only two movie soundtracks I plan on actually purchasing (the other would be Return of the King. I will buy that sight unseen -- or should I say, "sound unheard." ). Coming from a pirate like me, spending money on music is a huge compliment to a movie's soundtrack.

My name is Buck, and I'm here to fuck.
