All movies based on video games have sucked, traditionally.  I'm not saying that future movies based on games will suck (in fact, looking at the stats, a good one's due), just that so far, there's a tie for best one between Mortal Kombat and the 1st Tomb Raider (both are stupid, but kinda fun).

I didn't think that Enter The Matrix was all that bad. The Rogue Squadron games are tons of fun! Knights Of The Old Republic totally kicked ass! Nightfire and Goldeneye were great first person shooters! I just hope that 007: Everything Or Nothing is as good as I'm hearing about!

Oh, and as far as movies based off of video games are concerned, Resident Evil was a hella fun movie. I'm so psyched for Apocalypse!

007: Nightfire - Avoid like the plague.

Also, someone (Possibly Square) will you buy out and liquidate EA on behalf of gamers everywhere?

I would say video games turned into movies suck more.

In EGM they previewed the Matrix game and made it turn out to be so good. In the end, they gave it the rating of a 'polished turd'. The problem was, the publisher was forced to ship out the game in the same week as the movie. The #1 cause for buggy games is tight deadlines. The parts I played were okay, but let's not touch the fighting mini-game with a 10-foot Pedro.

Worst movie game was ET, they had to make the game from conception to stores in about two months to tie in with the release of the movie. They also made more cartrages then there were systems sold (because people would buy the system to play ET!) One of the nails in the coffin for ET. A good chunk of the cartrages were thrown in a landfill. There is a place that sells old video games they have a copy of it for $5, I am thinking to buy just to say I have the worst game ever made.

I got "Star Trek: Generations" for both the PC and the Gameboy.  The Gameboy version isn't amazing, but at least kills the time, unlike the PC version, which is unplayable.

They should make a "Seinfeld" game where you play as Kramer and play out certain episodes. That would be awesome!

I agree almost all games based on movies are cheaply made and are rushed with little thought put into them.

I remember the Toy Story game on the Mega Drive/Genesis. It wasn't too bad, but pretty short and only worth playing through once.

They did... It was in the 100 best games issue in teh 20 worst games ever article...

I seem to recall "ET lookes even worse in this game than he did in the movie, which is pretty bad since he started out resembling a slimy space penis"

Anyone play Total Recall, nothing better than being beaten up by midgets and hobos living in trash cans (this game also happened to have ended up on that 20 worst games list  )...
