Homer Vs. Peter

It's a simple question with a complicated answer. Who is funnier, Homer Simpson or Peter Griffin?

My Choice would be Peter because although Homer can do some things that are pretty hilarious, Peter gets himself into so many situations that just cracks my shit up.

Pre-Stupid Homer was funnier than Peter. But now, I'd vote for Peter. Seeing someone getting hurt so many time's just get's tiring.

Homer, with out a doubt. Peter's perfectly funny, but Homer is the number 1 television icon of recent years, or possibly ever.

New, stupid Homer = Peter
Classic Homer > Peter

Depends WHICH Homer, Pre-Season 10 Homer would get my vote, but Season 10 (And up?) Homer would not.

Anyway, I voted for Homer.

Peter's funny, but he's just not endearing.  I don't actually like him as a character or care what happens to him.  Homer (in seasons other then 9-12) is actually a lovable character, and can even make me care what happens to him sometimes.  Not to mention, he's funnier then Peter anyway.

Peter is funnier. I think Family Guy is far funnier than both Futurama and the Simpsons, but they are better all-round shows.

Peter Griffin rules! Unlike Homer, his stupidity doesn't fluxuate (he's always been a moron from day one) and he's just much more likeable than Homer. Also, he remained funny all through the series. He's basically what makes Family Guy worth watching.

Well, sometimes I can empathize with Homer (usually this happens in older episodes.) Sometimes, I want Peter to die a horrible and painful death, that annoying bastard.

I hate "New Homer". The newer episodes of the Simpsons make me want to corner Homer in a dark alley and stab him to death for becoming such a jackass. Honestly, how does such a well-meaning, slightly dumb, and funny character go to being an obnoxious, unrealistically stupid jerk?
Peter is much better than New Homer, but Classic Homer is better than Peter. I don't care if Peter is a rip-off of Homer, at least he's tolerable.

Peter all the way-I just moved out of Rhode Island, and there is no such town as "Quohog"but when I visit there I always keep an eye out for him(jj)  ;)I lived in Westerly, and there are such towns as Warwic and Coventry and Bristol which were all mentioned   but I cant understand why they would pick R.   Simply this is a taste of, who can stand the test of time..... well I'm gonna say Peter because I can see that episode when he goes out to nevada and plows over the roadrunner 1000 times and can still laugh each and every time...
   Homer is, well... just annoying nowadays but the old school 80's early 90's homer is by far the jesus christ of cartoon hilarity....
