I heard this morning on the radio that Charles Bronson died last night, it was rather a coincidence that one of his best films, Once upon a time in the West was shown on TV last night.

I watched that film last night. I thought a lot about him, so it was a shock to discover he had died. Of course he was already dead when Once Upon A Time... was shown, since as far as I know he died on Saturday, but it's still a rather wierd coincidence we only find out about it until the morning after one of his films is aired. Quite a shame, though I guess 81 is a good innings as they say, I suppose  :(

I liked Bronson.  He was one cool cat.  The first Deathwish movie is a classic.

Legend, now gone off to join his missus.

Agree with Spicey, Death Wish is a classic.

I really liked Charles Bronson too.  I remember watching him in movies on tv like the Magnificent Seven and some of the old Corman movies.  He was great, though the last good movie that I liked of his was probably Death Wish 1.

I remember the Death Wish spoof from the Simpsons. It went something like:
"Death Wish VII:
Camera zooms in on Bronson lying in a bed, saying
"I wish I was dead."

*sigh*
I liked the guy. I saw part of the movie on BBC as well. I wonder if they'll play the theme on his funeral.

"Wildey's here."

Farewell to a man who gave concealed carry a good name, then a bad name, then a campy sort of coolness.

Mr. Bronson is one of my dad's favorite actors.  It seems like he's always watching one of his movies.  A few months ago I finally saw the original Death Wish all the way through.  It actually has quite a bit more depth than you'd think.  It's pretty good stuff.

They have shown Mr. Majestyk last evening. I liked him very much in that movie (you remember the biggest melon massacre in the movie history?). Other Bronson movies I liked were Once upon a time in the west, The Dirty Dozen and The Magnificient Seven. Its sad to hear that another great actor has gone.

Charles Bronson guest hosts the Andy Griffith Show:

Some Guy: (Somebody) isn't in his cell.
Bronson: I, uh, shot him.
SG: What?
B: Now I'm off to Otis's Fix-it Shop to "fix" Otis.

Barny: Otis isn't in his cell!
Bronson: I shot 'em!
Barny: oh, What!
Bronson: Now I'm going to Emmit's fix it shop to fix Emmit.
(Andy Griffith music as Bronson walks out the door)

I still laugh everytime I see it.
