I was surprised no one else had started a Sports Night thread, so I decided to step in.

For those of you who have never seen the show, here's a quick rundown: It's a show, about a sports show, that's not really about sports. In every episode, the crew of "Sports Night" on CSC try to deal with their problems while producing the show at the same time. This gives the show a feel of being very hectic, but once you settle in, you start to look past that and pay attention to the hilarious jokes.

I forget their exact jobs in the show, but the characters are:
Dan Rydell - Co-anchor, he and Casey are best friends
Casey McCall - Co-anchor, he and Dan are best friends
Dana Whitaker - Producer, she and Casey have a thing for each other.
Natalie Hurley - Associate Producer (thanks boingo), she is a very controlling person.
Jeremy Goodwin - Producer, very neurotic, often controlled by Natalie.
Issac Jaffe - Boss, normally a friendly person, but you don't want to see his bad side.

Well, I've run out of things to say. Feel free to discuss anything about the show here.

Natilie was the Associate Producer.  And she was/is HOT!  the fact that she wound up with Jeremy gave nerds like me fresh hope.

My all time favourite episode of the show has to be "The Cut Man Cometh."  The Sports Night crew has been given the whole night to cover a very important fight, but are forced to cover for three hours when the fight only lasts one punch.  It doesn't help that Chuck, their colour-commentary guy, aside from only answering to the self-appointed nickname Cut Man, is perhaps the most incompitant person sports broadcasting has ever seen.
Casey: So he knocekd him out with a jabbing right hook, Cut Man?
Cut Man: Yes indeed, Casey.
Dan: And he did it with his left hand?
Cut Man: This fighter's got remarkable skills, Casey.
Dan: Look at the moniter under your camera.  I'm Dan.  He's Casey.

Yet another show cancelled by a network that couldn't understand it...

I haven't seen all the episodes yet, but as soon as I can I'm buying the DVD set. Of the eps I have seen, my favorite is probably either "Shoe Money Tonight" or "What Kind of Day Has This Been".

I know, I've always been a fan of shows the network hated (Futurama, Family Guy, Titus, Andy Richter, Home Movies, Dilbert, etc.)
