Star Wars was 1977, not the eighties. The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi were though.

The Simpsons (the shorts rocked too, ya know)
NES (mainly for Mario.  Remember: Genesis mostly sucked til Sonic came out in '91)
Back to the Future
Star Wars 5 and 6
Indiana Jones
Ghostbusters
Some other movies...

Everything else pretty much sucked.  Well, aside from my glorious birth.

I love the 80s they were so much better for me than the train-wreck 90s.
The eruption of Mt. St. Hellens
TV: Family Ties (i am still an Alex P Keaton wannabe), Growing Pains, Night Court, a whole lot of other shows i can't think of
Music: Breathe, Johnny Hates Jazz, Michael Jackson, Wham!, Richard Marx, Rick Astley, Bon Jovi, Duran Duran, Glass Tiger, Madonna, Huey Lewis and the News, Mr Mister, Wang Chung, Chicago (in their prime 16,17)and countless singles by other groups
Movies: There are so many classic movies like Ferris Buehler's Day Off, Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, Back to the Future, ET, Indiana Jones, etc

Oh yeah as Gordon Gecco would say in "Wall Street", "Greed is good"
