What is your favourite Star Trek based program? Simple as that. I love it, I know you do even if you don't want to admit it. State your preference and your reasons.

Also for you Trekkers/ies show your geekness with the memorabilia and merchandise you have horded away.

I have season 1-3 of DS9 on DVD. I managed to suppress the urge to buy a post-FC uniform even if they do look so freakin cool.

TNG, just out of foolish sentiment and nostalgia, being the Trek I grew up on, but post season-3 DS9 comes close.

::Happy nerd dance::  A local station with cruddy reception is showing at least DS9 season one from the beginning starting this week.  Must remember, must remember.

Such a difficult decision...  :)

I think that TNG is still the best, but DS9 is very close behind...

What are you saying captain kirk wasnt plausible and dignified??? He single handedly taught more alien women how to love than the whole of Vulcan and some were real ugly green chicks which werent necessarily dicernable as chicks, having said that my vote goes to TNG also just because Picard is so damn cool (but dammit I do hate Riker what a git)

TNG is really great, so that might explain why ive spent over £100 on two dvd sets.

I don't need a trip past GO, 200 dollars, or heaven bad enough to say nice things about Voyager.

I vote DS9, with TNG an exceedingly close second. Tough decision, but Jem'Hadar, Vorta and the Founders all kick ass.

TNG was great, but the best series have always been DS9. The characters, the stories, the alien civilisations and last but not least the coolest piece of real estate this side of the Galactic Barrier (I'm talking about the station, not the Defiant).

I'm tempted to rip into Voyager like a frenzied Jem'Hadar with withdrawel symptoms, but I wont.

The Original series all the way.  They had fun, adventure, and just enjoyed blowing the crap out of things.  I can't believe that TNG, with it's hoteliprise, a captain who was just angry and bitter, and pc world was so popular.  Kirk, Spock, and McCoy are the men!  The only modern TREK that came close is DS9, and that's because we got to see more than the perfect TNG world in it.

You know why TNG and Voyager rule? Because they both had Q. he is so awesome!

DS9 didnt go boldly enough to encounter Q  :D

Watch "Q-less" from season 1.

Granted it also featured Vash, and was a pretty weak episode, but Q were there.

Nothing as exciting as old school trek.  Giant planet eating robots, space amoebas, Klingons who were really mean and evil, not this, I'm more honorable than you, are not, am too, are so! fightyfightfight, Picard's own "fighting ability", borgityborgborg, etc.  People talk about Shatner's acting, watch Frake's again sometimes.

Besides, no one can beat a Captain Kirk flying drop-kick.  :laff:

Trouble About Tribbles (?) did it for me (for DS9 I mean).
Then Voyager, then Enterprise, then TNG and I never really watched TOS.

Enterprise. Don't shoot me. I'm a simple man, and I enjoy simple things. Like watching T'Pol in skimpy outfits. Is that against the law?!??

Seriously though... it reminds me of SeaQuest which I loved so much as a kid. Ohhh the days.

You mean Trials and Tribble-ations?  Quite possibly the most original unoriginal episode ever, and it rocked.

Odo and Worf at their best.

I think we've had this poll before, and the outcome was the same, and now my bitching will be the same--why does nobody vote for the original series? Maybe it was cheesy, but it was original, had a fun cast, and it wasn't a boring piece of crap like whatever Trekkie stuff they're showing nowadays.

Because of what happened to Data?

If anyone has played Elite Force 2, the Enterprise E's crew is in a shambles. The only original is Picard. Dr Crusher is mysteriously gone, data is dead (sorry if u havent seen nemesis but this is a star trek thread), Riker and Troi have gone to the USS Titan and Worf was on leave.

Will the TNG crew ever have another outting? or will our next Star Trek movie be based on something else?

Please tell me Enterprise wont get a movie! its good but not good enough for a movie!

There will be no more TNG based movies according to Paramount. The next Star Trek movie (if any) will most likely be set in the DS9 universe.

The Problem is that the DS9 crew is scattered as well. Also, the entire DS9 series was centered around the station and the Dominion problem...

But I wouldn't be surprised to see that the next one would feature the "Enterprise" crew around Captain Archer...

Hmmm... I've only ever seen eps of TOS and TNG (and the Tribble ep from DS9), and form them, I'll choose TNG.  Not only is Stewart a better actor then Shatner, but Picard's a better captain.  Kirk's a dumb jock.
